What went wrong?
What went wrong?
>I didn’t buy it so it’s a flop
needs more depth
Master Mummy is too slow to keep up with the largely evasion based gameplay.
It’s a ‘fighting’ game where the characters all have like four moves.
but it was a flop
And is entirely motion controlled.
I've always wondered how there were so many of you idiots
i blame egoraptor
>did not play the game
>calls it shit
>Waaaah why do people hate motion controls?
They've been ruining major Nintendo releases for a decade. Zelda was downright unplayable until BOTW came out because they were shoehorned into Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword. I don't think I've EVER seen gamers shit on a control scheme the way they did with Star Fox Zero's.
It's just a different kind of depth from most fighters. Aiming punches and figuring out the right set of arms to equip is a big deal.
Not enough rule34 of Master Mummy.
Not sure, I think it needed more modes. V-ball and hoops is interesting but it's more of a "hey check this out" mode where you play it once and never again.
You literally don't have to play it with motion controls. Do you always argue from ignorance?
It's kind of a shallow fighting game. It's a shame too because it has excellent art direction.
What makes it shallow?
>You don't have to play with motion controls in Star Fox Zero
Have you been living under a rock?
Oh, ok, you're just trolling. I thought it was weird that someone still wouldn't know ARMS has multiple control schemes
Shallow or basic? I think it fits everything it needs to for a basic boxing game. It just doesn't have a very high skill ceiling
What makes its skill ceiling low?
Eh
>1-2 Switch outsold it
Fucking lol.
To be fair, 1-2 Switch outsold a lot of Sup Forums's favorite games
It needs an adventure mode
When I think skill ceiling I think pure mechanics. It's easy to pick up and "master" because there's really only a total of 5 moves. It focuses more on footsies and yomi
I think the strategy behind the three arms you choose is underrated. You also have to account for the skill necessary to aim your punches, which doesn't normally pop up in fighting games. It seems to me that the lack of combos does more to the lower the skill floor than the ceiling, it's certainly not that easy to hit rank 20
>Sold more than 1,5 million units
>First IP in a series ( probably )
>Can easily find a match online
So the defintion of a flop is what?
Try comparing it to other fighting games, sweetie.
Street Fighter V is one of the biggest flops in recent memory. That has sold two million units. Successful fighting games, like Smash, can sell upwards of ten million units.
They thought they could get away with selling wii boxing x splatoon in 2018
New IP maybe?
All mind games, no execution. Not wacky enough to be fun casually after a match or two. All arms being available to all characters actually hinders variety rather than helping it.
Amazing character design though. Goddamn. The only one that's kind of a generic dud is Master Mummy.
Street Fighter is a series that is 20 years old and the game was reelased on 2 consoles and Pc honey.
It was heavily advertised and praised as the new king of fighting games.
So yeah thx for the comparison brainlet
Well ARMS was made on fuckall budget with fuckall content. Nintendo is the most prolific AA publisher with AAA returns.
Too much aiming
And people keep trying to make fun nintendo fighting games into hardcore competitive fighters and it repels people
>replying to a tripfag
>replying to a tripfag in a way that makes your own self look even more retarded than them
ARMS was clearly made to be a hardcore competitive fighter
Nintendo tried to make a competitive game for all ages. It's just as shit as Splatoon for that same reason.
High praise
It was a commercial success.
It's just that nobody plays it anymore.
>All arms being available to all characters actually hinders variety rather than helping it.
This doesn't really seem true to me. Lower levels are mostly taken up by Ninjara, but once you get into the teens the variety is really good. And it's not like everybody uses the same arms. There are strategies that pop up together a lot, but I think the only arms I almost never see played is Lokjaw
But I always find people in the lobby and in ranked
>What went wrong?
You. Making all these threads all the time again, and again. Implying things went wrong even though they didn't.
The game is alive and well. Stop lying about games you don't even have.
>It's just that nobody plays it anymore.
That's what you've said literally every thread since its release and it's never been true
Who does everyone main? I'm a boobs girl but God damn I can't get enough of Twintelle.
Min Min all day, her left arm is fucking stupid
>make baseless negative assertion
>someone asks you to expound on it
>quit posting
literally every arms thread
I wish Sup Forums were a better place to discuss ARMS but ultimately it seems like the discord is the only half-decent resource
Oh? How many people are playing it on Twitch, user? How many people are making threads about it? Is anyone excited for that upcoming graphic novel?
The answer is, of course, no. No one cares about this game or its characters.
For not having more ARMS episodes? I don't like watching LPers, but I check up on their videos every now and then and Ego was actually semi-decent at ARMS. It would be a perfect game for him and Dan to just shoot the shit too
The only thing that matters when it comes to number of players is how hard it is to get a match, and it almost never takes more than 30 seconds
>408200045
>using twitch as a means to determine whether a game is dead or not
You're not even worth a (You).
Do you think twitch is a great place to measure a game’s popularity? I’m sorry, but that’s straight up delusional. There are a plethora of sources that prove that there’s plenty of people who play the game. There’s the official ARMS dashboard which updates who’s at the top daily, party lobbies at fairly active still, and it’s still getting balance updates and patches. If people didn’t care, the game would’ve stopped updating by now. Good thing you’ll dismiss everything here for your dumb agenda that if it doesn’t have multimillion numbers like Splatoon or Mario, it’s a dead game and nobody plays it.
Nothing
Except for giving me the biggest buyer`s remorse for a switch game
What made you think you'd like it?
>muh buyers remorse
You fags are so fucking pitiful in your shit taste
Full list of ARMS stats, although it doesn't have speed, which is disappointing
