Odin Sphere Leifthrasir

I just finished this game and it was great what does Sup Forums think?

I've only played the ps2 version and I loved it. The remake looks fun, but also easier. Original could be quite challenging.

Not going to play unless there's a titmonster in it.

I am looking at classic mode and it seems interesting. I might give it a try sometime. I am a little burnt out cause I pretty much powered through the game over a couple days.

close enough?

The girl in OP's pic is stacked though.

Is it canon in norse mythology that dishonoured valkyria are forced to marry?

I really liked the game but I don't see much of a replay value and endgame content was pretty lacking. But even then I got around 50 hours of fun for 20 bucks, not a bad deal.

...

No steam no buy

i think the remake can be harder, some of the new bosses like the zeppelin or yeti are tough, specially during the challenge stages

I want to mate press all of the girls in this game!

Fun but I like Dragon's Crown better
Odin Sphere needed a randomized infinite dungeon like Dragon's Crown's, hell every RPG and beat em up needs it

everyone hated it when Bloodborne did it.

It's the only reason why Bloodborne is the only game in the series I still play

Preordered the figure of her in the dress.

I played it for Sawashiro.

vanillaware is Iiterally reddit:the devs

Ingway did everything wrong.

>Mercedes becomes Contra

Daddy issues: the game

Some of the combat got old by the end, after you've had to relearn your play-style five times.

But I like it. It takes advantage of the simple 2D stages and fills them to the brim with style and charm.

And I have a soft-spot for the super detailed restaurants and foods you can order. Gives me the urge to go cook something new whenever I'm done playing.

VW fighting game fucking when?

Loved it. Ended up being my GOTY and even bought their figures.

I love it, but enjoy more Muramasa, very hyped for 13 Sentinels

Pretty neat, you better get the bonus ending with cornelius and velvet.

My mercedes broke on the way, so i just glued it and called it a day.

Being Mercedes is suffering

>tower defense shit
I didn't know my hype could die so quickly

>tower defense
Source?

Lots of fun, Cornelius a best boy.

It did a good job of making you really enjoy watching all the characters play their part in the story, regardless of whether you were rooting for them or not.

That is something a lot of games flub.

Watch the video and their interviews, fuck knows why they decided to do this

If you are have played cuhrayzee games and fightans, Odin Sphere Leifthrasir is nothing more than a combo exhibition similar to Muramasa. The only way things get "hard" is just having more life and becoming damage sponges. The original Odin Sphere had a certain level of strategy that had to be considered when fighting since you only had so much stamina and so much magic.

What makes Leifhrasir so great is that it offers not only the brand new experience that is still fun and fresh (even if easy), but also offers the original game in HD with a whole bunch of game setting options that can modify it.

I thought it was great. Muramasa is still my favorite though.

It's a game that I enjoy, but one that I can only play once every month or so whenever I get to a new character.

also velvet sucks fucking ass and so do mercedes

Mercedes is pretty fun, though. She's almost like a side scrolling shooter with flying. Velvet is the weakest, though.

So the other VW games are worth checking out? Should I wait for the PS4 version of dragon's crown?

Muramasa is pretty damn good and so is Dragon's Crown.
And yeah, you might as well just wait for the PS4 remaster.

I really enjoy stories that bounce between different character perspectives on opposite sides of a conflict. Wish that more games did it.

I played too much at once and I burnt out at Oswald. Gonna finish it eventually, just don't knkw when.

Still no lesbian harry potter fairy fantasy HD remake.

Life is suffering

>spoiler
Holy shit I had no idea one post could be so wrong.

Yeah, I enjoyed the first two stretches of the story a lot, but I have a hard time finding motivation to keep going with the next character after already reaching a solid conclusion to the last two character arcs.

Really?

I was holding out for a side-scroller with mechs.

>lesbian harry potter fairy fantasy
Picked up.

i want a steam port of this game

You're kidding me

Maybe an odd question but: does it use the right stick at all? I'm tempted to get it and play it on an arcade stick.

Macros for special moves. There are also commands you can do like in fighting games (236,623) but I find that it does a really bad job of recognizing those inputs. I wouldn't recommend playing with an arcade stick.

>Watch the video
What video? There is only teaser trailers with no gameplay footage. Citation needed

It was very repetitive. And most of the characters were obnoxiously bad. But it was fun to play, and the ending completely caught me off guard with how blunt it was.

>2 Yeti on Oswald's challenge stage
only one I didn't complete, fuck that garbage

It was my 2016 GOTY, and one of the few games I actually bothered to get day one. All the characters are fun to figure out and play around with, the story is surprisingly interesting and emotional. The only real issue is that you have to replay everything so much, but the characters play differently enough, so it doesn't really bother me.

>visible nipple
Based Kamitani sneaking past the censors.

Dangit. I want something to play on this other than fighting games. Thank you for answering though

The original made my thumb swelled for a week. The combination of button mash, Gwen's stiff movement and bad FPS were just too much but i really invested in the story.

Great game but it gets too repetitive when you're going for that 100%

Definitely way easier, maybe too easy and I'm not one to go hunting for a challenge. Potions make everything completely trivial.

I could never play grimgrimoire.
The gameplay feels so bad.
But the everything else was so good.

It was a game that I actually watched the cutscenes of on YT because they were that entertaining.

>want to get Leifthrasir
>can't justify the purchase because I got the ps2 version and still haven't finished it
God damn, Velvet does no damage and everything is a damage sponge.

Same. The level repetition for every single character wears you down quickly. It's an amazing game and I beat it back on the PS2 but the replay value's slim since I remember how the story goes.

She is beautiful.
