What does he even do nowadays?

Are there seriously people retarded enough to ask Tony Hawk to make a video game?

>all those retards who dont know about thug pro

SO HERE I AM

Live off of his millions in royalties.

He's richer than you can imagine

Be retired and live off his fortune until he dies

>What's X up to these days?
>He has a lot of money

That's not a useful answer m8
Anyway
Doesn't his son skate?

...

...

He has a clothing brand and works with a lot of merchandisers on product endorsements.

Apparently he also really loves Tokyo, to the point where he partnered with Japan Crate to make a Tony-approved snack box, and vacations there every other year.

>Doesn't his son skate?
Yes and hes a damn good street skater.
youtube.com/watch?v=WpJBvCuyfl0

...

Tom Clancy has been making them for years.

Skate, duh.

He's just living a relatively normal life. You can occasionally bump into him in SoCal. He's a relatively chill dude.

>tfw crazy arcade-y extreme sports games genre is ded

Taking care of his mom with Alzheimer's and ocassionaly skate.

DOING EVERything I CAN

Based Tones

Didn't EA or ubisoft just release one last year?

>tfw games like burnout and flatout no longer get made

>no blitz
>no street series
>no extreme sports games at all
Rip one of the best genres

Did you ever bump into him

I refuse to acknowledge the existence of a fifth installment of the THPS series. As far as I know, the last arcade-y extreme sports game (that wasn't dogshit) came out in 2012, being SSX Deadly Descents. The game suffered heavily from lacking some neat open tracks (almost all of them were really tight and unless you would follow some specific path you would constantly fall in the abyss having to rewind over and over, which completely goes against what made SSX fun in the first place), but the overall gameplay of the tricks and stuff more than made up for that.
No good arcade racing games are the ones that hurt the most. Every racing game released after NFSMW (2005) that isn't a burnout is just complete horseshit or overly focussed on "muh realizm, look at pretty car gwaphix".

I wasn't talking about THPS, there was some game they advertised at E3 that was about extreme snow sports on a mountain.

Steep

I miss those, thank god Europeans lap up FIFA and Americans buy generic basketball shooter every year. I can't even remember what it's called.

Oh yea, that was ubisoft. The movement was clunky as fuck and the game was overall ruined by "muh realizm". I mean, realism isn't always bad, but it really feels like they couldn't decide whether to go for a more realistic or a more arcade feel and it ended up being shit in both worlds. Somewhat of a shame though, the open world was pretty cool and had a bunch of cool landmarks (as far as I the beta went at least).

>tfw the rated r sexploitation extreme sports genre never lived

Does he still do charity events and such?

That's sweet. Sounds like a good guy.

...

it was fucking horrific, they pushed it out before they lost the license agreement at the end of the year. not only the worst thps game but one of the worst sports games ever made

Mount Wingsuit seems cool enough if you have a Vive or a Cuckulus, that's about it I think.

forza horizon is outstanding m8

I was just thinking about this earlier. If you could obtain the license you could make a remastered trilogy and make a boatload of cash

> TFW remembering how awkward BMX XXX was to play but spending so much time to watch 30 seconds of a fully clothed stripper dancing.

They died for the same reason the sexploitation films of the 80's, 90's and even early 00's died: Once you can see a boob on the internet for free, why would you pay to see one in the theaters?

>images don't load or load slowly
>again
But thank God we've got faggoty unicorns on the main page.

But Tony, the reason why THPS5 went to retail as a demo with the rest of the game as a patch was because Activision's license expired.

The license would just be for Tony Hawk's name, not to give you the right to remaster games by Activision.

>you'll never come home from school and boot up your favorite skateboarding or snowboarding game again and mellow out to some music.

>SO HERE I AM

The WORST? Really? Didn't they release another one earlier that was literally SO unfinished that the disc you got was just a download code that downloaded the entire actual game for you via an "update"? And even that was a buggy, unplayable mess?

What he means is:
Activision lost the rights to the Tony Hawk IP, which he owns,

Activision still owns the games and are thus the sole people who could bring them back or reverse engineer the code for a new game.

If her were to make a new Tony Hawk game he'd have to start from scratch.

They exist, it's just that retards don't buy them.

I'd much rather watch a one take than a bunch of clips. I get why clip videos are so much more popular but they're not nearly as impressive to me. Even worse is when clips are stitched together trying to pretend it's a one take like Ken Block.

I think that was the game he's talking about

...

Man, Tony seems like a chill dude and a bro to hang out. What was the last good skate game?

thats the one

What are you talking about? Do you mean the uncut/raw footage?
youtube.com/watch?v=tLaNGFMRG20

>niggerball
>extreme sport
?

Wait, that was only last year?

The vibe and aesthetic of THPS 2 was so comfy.
Damn, I miss being a kid in the late 90's/early 200's.

Bootleg NBAJam

Nope, 2015.

Oh, good. I thought I entered into a time-slip or something.

This makes me wonder if wrestlers get tweets asking them to patch WWE games.

American Wasteland felt weird. I don't understand why Hawk's going along with this. He seems too chill to go around the world destroying everything.

Any particular game you miss Sup Forums?

Why do they look homeless? Aren't they sponsored and shit? X-Games? Team Pup 'n' Suds?

>Tony will be 50 this year

Tfw saw a bunch of EA sports BIG Street sports games on a shop, but I have no clue which ones are the good ones

Looking homeless is a part of skateboarder culture.

Probably just lives a normal life like every retired celebrity that doesn't have severe mental issues.

Back when I skated (literally the 90s) we all dressed like preps or punkfags

Those days are over. Get with the times grandpa. I'll bet you still use wooden boards.

fuck you tony hawk for making thps5

Fucking millenials ruined even skate. I want dudebros and punky kids back!

This but NFL. The first one was so good but then they neutered it over and over. Also no based X-ecutioners instumental music, they kept getting licensed music that they censored all to fuck. Really upset me.

Kek

what the fuck are you talking about

no fucking way

Works on my machine ;)

yeah, but Hawk isn't dead

Wait, really? Shit, how old was he when the first THPS came out?

Today's Easter

isnt he like 50 now?

DEEPEST

So why did Hawk get so big compared to other skaters? I vaguely recall someone saying he was the most influential skater or something.

>millennials ruined skate
>when millennials LITERALLY popularized skating culture
>not to mention that millennials are 20 or 30 years old at this point

Holy fucking shit you have to be underaged, no one can be this fucking dumb.

In retrospect none of them because in the "career" modes you can't turn off rubber banding so you just end up really fucking mad until you win it.

But NFL Street 1 and NBA Street Vol. 2 are the best ones.

He did a 900 and got a video game series.

XGames really are a product of its time.

He was the first one to even spin around 3 times on a half pipe.

Won a shitload of vert comps, impressed everyone by inventing a difficult trick, released a competent video game.

'most influential' is pretty subjective. Maybe in regards to getting the sport back into the mainstream.

GameCube onward were too slow

that looks like hell

Rodeny Mullen a best

>not to mention that millennials are 20 or 30 years old at this point
Millenials are at most 25 you illiterate fuck.

You must be living under a rock if you call it SSX Deadly Descents

being a millennial goes back to the 1980s you fucking dunce
someone who was 25 was born in 1992 or early 1993

Anyone born between 1980 and 1996/2000 is a millennial, you absolute retard. Some are pushing 40.

You should be reported for being so fucking dumb

Millenials are named for by being born on the new millenia dumbass, being completely strict to that rule would make millenials being 18 years old by now yet they're considered from late 90's.

You were thinking on gen x/y

who cares what he says. the guy he was replying to was so stupid that the definition of millenial is not important here

That was 1999, so he was 31.

skate 4 when?

Oh my god you're beyond fucking retarded, please die so the world is spared of your defective genes, MILLENNIAL'S ARE GEN Y YOU IDIOT

>Millennials (also known as Generation Y) are the generational demographic cohort following Generation X. There are no precise dates for when this cohort starts or ends; demographers and researchers typically use the early 1980s as starting birth years and the mid-1990s to early 2000s as ending birth years.
