Hell if anything the blame is probably largely on management for deciding to delay the game to begin with. You just know the sudden delay decision that was out of the team's hands caused some mix up in whatever process they go through uploading demos/games for PSN.

They've been saying all week how the demo will be so large because it'll automatically update to unlock the full game in April if you order digitally. Basically whatever was supposed to be in place to flag it as demo/full didn't work so it treated everyone as having the full game.
