Even on your first time playing, Dark Souls is not even remotely close to that hard unless you're a peabrain. It just punishes you for making mistakes and expects you to learn from them when you do. A lack of handholding does not equal a game being impossible.

Just because someone cant play games all day doesnt mean dark souls is hard???? What?!

The difficulty is synthetic. They space "Challenges" out in such a way that you have to spend 5 minutes walking back to each challenge when you fail them. You're only trying things about 10 times max, but it feels like 100 tries because of the terms between attempts. No boss took me more than 10 tries on my first playthrough, but it felt like way more because it always took me forever to walk back to them and fight my way through all the bullshit in the way.
