I don't have any favorites, but I watched the Neko Mario episode about it and it looks neat. I like how you can beat up certain bosses faster if your team is comprised of the same elemental type attack.

Sometimes I feel like the only one who doesn't care what nostalgia characters they dredge up from the ages, or if they even do it at all. I just want their current character design to get better.

Kirbyfags still play Kirby games and still like her, so they'll still request Adeleine if she's not there. People threw a fit when Dedede wasn't in Amazing Mirror, people threw a fit when Meta Knight wasn't in Kirby 64.

It isn't just a nostalgia thing, it's a matter of the fanbase liking a character and the role they had. Gooey and Adeleine are both cool, distinct Kirby characters and they could both add something new to the games if they return. I want current character design to get better as well, and I also want the main characters to be implemented in more creative ways again. Kirby stories should be a bit more dynamic, Dedede and Meta Knight can directly contribute to the plot from the beginning beyond "they are innocent bystanders affected by the new villain's shenanigans"

I’m guessing one of these will be the Arena but I wonder what that second option will be.

The entirety of 2018 for the Switch is extremely unappealing. Neither Yoshi nor Kirby have been any good for a long time now and we know fuck all else for games allegedly coming this year. The single beacon of hope is Octopath and that's not even a Nintendo game

It's all right if the game doesn't interest you at all, but it's pretty much agreed that the end games in Kirby are so much better than the main Mario and Zelda games. One of the reasons I'm pretty excited for it to be released.

I haven't played a Kirby in a while so it looks fresh enough to me. It's lacking almost all of the charm of the classic Kirby games, but that's just because it's made by new people now, it's basically an officially backed fangame. It does look like fun though, and while I'm not as interested and excited as I would be if it was Kirby's own jump to 3D like SM64/OoT, it still looks good enough for what is.

Did you even read my post? I never said that its going to be better than Odyssey or Breath of the Wild, just that the end game, especially the final bosses, are usually better compared to the main games from those series.

I misread "the end games" as "in the end the games" as in "all in all", my mistake.

As someone who 100% the original, I can assure you that the 2-screen gimmick is inconsequential to the experience. I enjoyed it for what it was, but even the secret boss took no real 2-screen management skill. I would think that this is just a port of the mobile version with optional gimmick controls like the trailer said, but we'll see, I suppose. Should be very much worth it.

It is absolutely not inconsequential to the experience, but it'll still hold up without it. And sure, you could bruteforce your way through anything without great topscreen play, but to really get the most out of the combat, good use of both screens was necessary

Beast Calamity Ganon was a letdown to me, although his previous form was pretty good, and Yuga-Ganon didn't fascinate me at all. The ones that I did enjoy were the Ganondorf battles from Ocarina, Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess. I just feel that Kirby does this a whole lot better ever since the first game. Even Adventure had a great climax given it's limitations.

The enemies don't seem to do much to get in your way compared to games like Super Star and Adventure. Sir Kibble and Blade Knight just sort of... stand there.

Wish they were more aggressive to make up for the "one-hit and you'll lose your ability" deal.
