I'm such an idiot, I was playing the first game and enjoying it...

I'm such an idiot, I was playing the first game and enjoying it, but then I started the 3rd game while I was high cause I was impatient, and now I'm playing both, if I play one for like an hour I gotta play the other one. I'm should have just fucking played them in order but now I'm trapped in this cycle. What should I do? Should I keep doing what I'm doing, switch to just playing 3, just play 1? Where does witcher 2 fit in all this? I also have the first book but have only read the first 2 chapters. Honestly though, I feel like I'm enjoying witcher 1 more so far, just because I was actually absorbed in it, I feel like I can't really enjoy the witcher 3 just because I'm also playing the other one. Maybe I'll just uninstall 3 for now and come back to it later.

Read the books, in order.
Play 1.
Play 2 and irreversibly fuck the politics of the North
Play 3 and make sure Nilfgaard wins
This is how you have the best possible witcher experience.

Do all three 1-1-1 and don't deviate. It'll prove for a unique experience and I'd be interested in hearing what sort of thoughts you have in the progression of the witcher's varying systems. Plz OP. April 1'st I expect to hear from you at midnight eastern time.

I'll set a reminder. Also, I'm at the part where the Reverend says to kill the beast, what is the beast and where do I find it?

sounds good

Skip 1&2 :)

Yeah I've heard this meme before, I wanna be a nerd and experience this shit like it should be. There isn't really a problem, it's just that I'm autistic and it bothers me that I'm literally 10 hours into both 1 and 3 at the same time, and I know I'll have to choose eventually. I think I'm gonna go ahead and uninstall 3 for now, I wasn't into it yet anyway.

...

I know, right? These two posts in particular.

Holy fuck.

You absolute retard, I didn't even finish reading your post. You aren't fucking "trapped", just don't fucking play the third game until you're up to it. You're acting like you have no control over what you do, grow up and stop being a dramatic fucking idiot.

Like I said, I know it's not a big deal, I just uninstalled 3, I just have this weird thing where I stress over playing games in order, and then end up just jumping around and ruining it. It's okay though, I've got my personal problems under control, have a nice day.

Keep this up, OP. It's definitely fucking interesting

Bump, can anyone help me with the beast in Witcher 1? How do I find it? Is it that red dog that appears at night?

Keep doing the primary quests of Chapter 1 and you will fight the beast.

And possibly the villagers after that.

Just skip 1. I played 1 for over 40 hours because so many anons on Sup Forums said it was amazing and it's not. It has some good moments and the atmosphere is incredible, but the game play is total dogshit. Especially combat.

>I was playing the first game and enjoying it
hoo boy you're an idiot all right

Listen to me faggot.
Read the books, in order. Then play witcher 1, play witcher 2 and play witcher 3.

Yes mommy, I'm on chapter 4 of the first book :3

10 hours into witcher 3 is nothing. Like 5% at most.
10 hours into witcher 1 is something, like 30%.
Finish 1 first. Then play 2. You can do it in 4 days.
Then play witcher 3.
read books faggot

Some people say that short stories novels are better than the 5 book saga.
I disagree, i think 5 book saga is pretty good.

I'm still in the outskirts of vizima, but I think I'm almost done, is that as far in as you thought?

hmm honestly, no :D Thought you are in the city.
Have you read the first story in the books, titled "The Witcher"? About fighting a Strigga?
Read it before progressing. Its just a few pages, but you will have a nice surprise.

Focus it down, ignore everything else. Spam heavy.

I'm at the part where he first goes to fight it, after talking to the king, thanks for the heads up.

>hear that Witcher 1 is incredibly clunky
>start it up
>prologue is exciting
>chapter 1 moves at a very brisk pace
>chapter 2 grinds to a fucking halt
>spend most of my time just running back and forth between people I need to talk to
>quests are piling up faster than I can take care of them
>the swamp

I read many complaints about the swamp before I started the Witcher 1 and was expecting it to be terrible.

After actually getting there, I didn't think it was that bad. The area was smaller than I thought it would be. But it does span through Chapter 3 too.
