still nowhere as hardcore as us nintendo fans. just look at the emulators and mods we have compared to some random xbox glitch. pathetic!

cool shit

Finding skulls and super bouncing in halo 2 was a redpilling experience on the glitchlyfe

>breaking the piece of shit that is Reach and not Halo 1-5

True, my life was never the same after finding the Scarab gun.

what the fuck

Okay this part was pretty good

Shit got crazy at the drop into the abyss part

what a fucking adventure. god damn love it

ok but why though

That ghost trick was neat

jesus christ
i mean, how do they do this? how do they even think of this?
what it they reach the final part and it can't be done there? what would they do? just autism the whole thing again?

i admire their determination but holy shit

why not

Reminds me of barrier skip and palace skip.

youtube.com/watch?v=-hUIp3eUyKI

I imagine if there's a fuck up along the way they just revert to the last checkpoint and go again.
Still super impressive all around, especially for the guy who did the Ghost jumps and shooting the Ghost back into the map.

How many PU jumps did he make to do that?

That was fucking rad.
I never played Halo Reach, do the checkpoints revert everything, even vehicle positions?

looks like they used the ghosts to cross just one PU

That I don't know, but I like to assume so.
I don't want to imagine the hell of what it would feel like to spend all the time setting up and then finding you had one Ghost slightly out of alignment, making it so that you had to start from step 1 again.

Or the guy jumping fucks up the last one and they have to redo everything

y tho

or using the concussion rifle to blast the ghost into the room

one bad bounce and you're fucked

I gotta say these dudes are up to some crazy shit.

youtube.com/watch?v=GOdxJ4fkkBU

Everything's exactly as it was at the checkpoint every time you reload.

How the fuck do they even figure this shit out?

years of trial and error

Knowing how the game works and all the possible glitches, and a lot of theory crafting.

>kotaku

So on a scale of normie to 0.5x "A" press where does this rank on the autism scale?

>People are surprised by this
You guys heard of Nomad Colossus or Pannenkoek? Extreme autism is a real thing but it brings about great discoveries

Fucking absolute kino.

Why didn't they just build up speed for 12 hours?

Fuck that is some impressive turbo autism. Also: Reach looks a lot better than I remember, I can't believe it's been 8 fucking years.

>4
>5
>good

3, Reach and ODST are the only Halo games that still hold up. 4 and 5 were never good, even on release, with 4 being the absolute worst Halo game by a large margin.

>Patricia Hernandez

Extreme autism proves the absolute insane craftiness of humanity. You have a group of people doing all sorts of bizarre shit, random calculations and asspull guesswork to make the most unlikely set of circumstances line up just right, they do this shit for YEARS. Why? To get into a room in a videogame that nobody gives a shit about anymore.

It's honestly admirable. It's nothing, but it's great. What the hell would alien life even be able to make of us? We're cleverly stupid. Moronically cunning. Meaningfully pointless. We always joke about weaponized autism. Would that be what we are? Weaponized tard strength?

>sought to achieve the impossible: they wanted to break into a cutscene
youtube.com/watch?v=aLqJD7h08GY

/tg/ here. Stealing this for my setting.

ODST and Reach never held up, ODST was meh and Reach was shit. Halo 4 and 5 are better than both. Halo: Reach is the worst Halo game ever made and would be better off non-canon.

put me in the screencap

All that time that could have been spent in something useful... how shameful.

shit like this is what makes video games great

fuck anyone who doesn't appreciate this, they'll never understand

halo 3 is trash you baby

Why do people always say Reach was shit? The worst thing about it were the awful community-made forge maps flooding the playlists instead of real maps with their own unique assets and layouts like previous Halo games. Otherwise Reach was fine

probably b8 but
>how dare people spend their free time how they want

>they'll never understand wasting your life on meaningless shit

I'd hope so.

Reach wasn't just fine. It was the pinnacle of Halo, everything Bungie learned from the previous game coalesced into one great game. The biggest and I'd say the only important flaw was that they didn't keep ODST's Firefight.

>Never heard of this Nomad Colossus guy
Is it weird that I'm hyped to watch new videos about super autistic research?

The story isn't exactly the same as the book.
This triggers the autists.

>Fuck yes, I love feats of extreme video game autism.
>it's a 7 hour long review of 12 hour game
youtube.com/watch?v=kFC6mDKF-0c

>reach never got remastered
reeeeeeeeee

>being on Sup Forums

slaving away 8 hours a day to earn profits for your kike boss sounds like meaningless shit to me too

A dance in the void

t. Bungie employee

Terrible campaign
Terrible Story
Terrible levels
Terrible characters
retcons the shit out of everything to exist (if you're familiar with how Bungie threw Destiny's Grimoires out of canon then this shouldn't surprise you)
Terrible Multiplayer
Terrible gameplay

Did the mother fuckers that made Reach even give a shit?

Good

>Nintendo fans
Easily the most obnoxious fucking people on the internet.

I miss when Halo wasn't shit.

>"le x is terrible"
>ctrl c+ctrl v
Stating that you believe something is terrible is not even close to being an argument, you utter brainlet.

The campaign was great.
Story was kinda lame because of how hard they went out of their way to contradict the canon.
Characters were fine.
Multiplayer was good.
Gameplay was good.

>le Sup Forumsirgin contrarian
Reach was great, faggot.

>contradict the canon
Did they change the backstory for Spartan training? I didn't play Reach but the little I've seen had a bunch of Spartan with very distinct accents, which seems weird given how they were supposed to have all been raised. Ethnicity is irrelevant but accents aren't really developed by the color of your skin.

Nah, it's good stuff, but you'll probably be watching some of his videos and asking yourself what the hell the point is. Just have to remember that EVERY small little detail that guy discovers is amazing to him, it's almost endearing

Working backwards. They could deduce that launching from a Ghost would spawn them in the room probably from other applications o this glitch. Then it became about working out how to get the Ghost into that room.

I suddenly want to replay Reach.

>halo reach is 7 years old

take me back

i fail to see the problem

GTA:SA was much cooler because you could use your jetpack explore this empty void that had every cutscene and room in the game in it.

not really. they explain the III's as being war orphans that ONI picked up across UNSC space and used their hate boners to get them to join up for a new SPARTAN program.

the augs for III's are practically guaranteed to not kill the implantee, though it does come with some nasty side effects.

the III's are just normal children before the covenant glassed their worlds. their accents are from their home worlds.

...

Ah, alright. The stuff I had remembered from a book was specific to Master Chief and his batch of Spartans, so it makes sense later batches would be handled differently. Thanks for takin the time to explain.

Man that book did a good job of making the Covenant seem threatening on an individual level, though that didn't exactly mesh too well with the reality in-game.

I miss doing this kind of shit in 3, Halo's controls and maps where practically made to be organically broken. I just hope that someday a game is designed in a similar so that I can get a fraction of that high again.

Can I get Sup Forums's opinion on my personal favorite vidya autism?
youtu.be/J7S4BKfGDno
Rundown; this dude had a glitching series for Silent Hill: Homecoming where he'd find some real kino shit (Physically carrying save points, flipping an entire level upside down) and he was uploading regularly, I was talking to him for a bit, then he just drops off the face of the Earth for like 7 months, then one day out of the blue shows back up, and says he's been duping one single item for the past 7 months. The actual use and videos about it are boring, but the sheer autism this boy has moves me so deeply.

Shut your Reach baby asses up

>The campaign was great.
Campaign was a forgettable pile of shit
>Story was kinda lame because of how hard they went out of their way to contradict the canon.
Even without the canon breaks the story was shit if at all existent to begin with (reminds of Destiny another game without Joe Staten on the team)
>Characters were fine
They were cardboards with Jorge being the only decent one, figures he's a Spartan II
>Multiplayer was good
Multiplayer sits next to Halo 4 as the worst in the series
>Gameplay was good
Gameplay was dogshit and took a shit all over Halo CE-3's good gameplay.

>mfw in Halo CE you could take a warthog through the entirety of Silent Cartographer
>the e n t i r e t y of it, including the underground sections, if you had enough explosives and raw gumption

I love Halo CE-3.

remember that time that an entire full class of 300 spartan III's suicide attacked a covenant refinery deep in covie space that blew up dozens of refineries used to process metals and killed thousands of squid faces, meth breather, cloaca fuckers and worm bloods? all without the aid of actual power armor, just something slightly better than what the ODSTs were wearing.

remember that time that another spartan company blew up another refinery, this one containg thousands of more of covie shits along with seven (7) cruiser ships?

One should also note that most Spartan-IIs were around five to seven years old. Well enough time to form an accent. This explains Jorge's accent quite well, as he's from the SPARTAN-II program. Chief was six when he was abducted. Most we know about his homeworld though is that he's from there, and there's this one woman in the army that keeps a picture of him as a kid because they were best friends and he said he'd marry her one day. Naturally she believes he's dead because his flash clone died, like all of the other ones.

>just fuck my shit up

but can it be done without pressing A?

Aren't Tom and Lucy the only survivors of those two missions, though? Ackerson was right to attack those positions, but honestly suicide missions of that scale are just inefficient.

>80% of the screencaps are about furries and lolis

>tfw only males are capable of this sort of autistic power

This is why I can't take female gamers seriously. I mean, they can play games and do whatever they want but women aren't capable of true, pure artistic autism.

Every fucking female gamer i've ever see loves Pokemon

Every. Single. One.

there were no survivors from alpha comapny. Tom and Lucy survived the second mission

as far as the efficacy of the mission goes, both provided the one thing that the UNSC needed most, which was time. time to make more ships, time to train soldiers, time to make more III's that were better trained and in a larger class.

the cost of each III is stupidly low compared to what they got in return. tom and lucy would have helped make sure that the next batch of III's would have survived a little more. then the survivors would have trained the next group, ad infinitum. and each successful mission would have given them more time. it's a compounding return

now that I think about it i've never even heard of a female kaizo mario player. or anything remotely like that.
prove me wrong Sup Forums, do it now.

thats the nintendo fanbase what are you talking about

>you will never learn to fly the plane in GTA3 and land on the cut scene island ever again

Essentia was queen of autism and wrote up the preliminary routes for a lot of JRPGs before anyone else, and was, at the time (Mid-late 2000s) one of the only people who actually made JRPG speedruns. She has like 47 kids now so she doesn't have 12 hours a day to spend playing Final Fantasy games, an absolute shame.

Thats Sup Forums's userbase

>Out-of-bounds area has no collision
Is anything more disappointing?

Why don't they just hack the game if they want to explore the cut scene room so bad?

thanks user, today you were a cool guy

holy fuck

Yea, out of bounds area has collision, but there's small gaps all throughout it, and after 20 minutes of navigating an invisible wall labrynth, you get to the item you wanted to grab early, but its trigger is a couple pixels too small to be reached from OoB.

It's like orgasm denial.

>kickflips in a corner
>clip out of the map
I remember spending entire days looking for interesting spots to clip.
It's not as great.
It's kinda like datamining vs. going around in the actual game trying to confirm a myth.

Datamining fucking killed video game myths. You know it, I know it.

YEAH! FUCK YEAH THAT'S SO COOL LIKE HOLY SHIT DUDES

yeah user you're right, this thread and everyone in it is fucking shit
le epic demons souls sticky thread is absolutely fine though
