What's one thing that could have saved Paragon?
What's one thing that could have saved Paragon?
actual grafix
if anything paragon did right it was its graphics
fun gameplay
Maybe just being free to play from the start none of this early pay shit would of stood a chance on console if it was free day 1
Fucking greedy cunts
being a single player RPG with a mini story for each of the characters
then you eventually pick a party of the last 4-5 to defeat the final boss with

Why is it soo hard to find games these days with good fun gameplay
Cute girls.
fun gameplay comes from mods for PC games
all these shitty console ports usually come without mod tools
thats if we get ports at all
so no more fun games sorry
unique artstyle
memorable and good character designs
thats pretty much it. The game was fucking boring to look at no matter the graphics. I had absolutely no desire to play/main any of the characters in the game like I have in other character oriented games like mobas/fighting games/hero shooters.
It's the exact same reason why Lawbreakers flopped.
Better management. They started out with an overly complex card system and slow combat and never recovered from it.
Optimization.
Pinoys, brs and russkies would carry the game for a long time if they could run it on their potatoes, but the game just runs like shit.
Legacy, Ranked matchmaking, better itemization, more heroes and better balance among the heroes that exist.
And moving Cam over to the UT office.
I'm running it on an old laptop right now.
it had the best girls
It's not fair
They didn't go full retard and get rid of Legacy and everything that made the game unique.
It doesn't matter what happened from then on it was hard to keep invested when they kept completely changing the game.
should have never had the god awful card system
They shouldn't have listened to community feedback. The peak of the game was before monolith. Every single update made it less and less unique. By the end it was a shitty clone.
Not really, though. They didn't want to appear sexist so they toned down the waifus.
Making lodsamone for Epic
Drafting and interesting items. They went with league style itemization and ended up with countless of boring stats sticks. Should've taken item ideas from dota. Also removing that God awful card system.
actually be released ? I remember this shit being in alpha/beta and then some paid preview and then a future promised F2P release. I didn't even know the game died because I wasn't even aware they had the F2P launch.
>t. never played paragon
For them Paragon is a tech demo. As they released new characters they made live streams for UE4 developers showing some new tool they fiddle around with to make the character look good and they pushed that to always have something new for the next update of UE4.
If I'm honest I have never played Paragon but I've seen many of its content and how has improved because they've shown it on their dev streams
Timing along with gameplay. They released the game on a market that was saturated with other MOBA games. Whereas Fortnite has less other games to compete with (those being PUBG and...?)
There is literally no fanservice in this game
It had few main problems that killled it early on
-too slow, 50 minute games in time when people want fast action packed games
-confusing counter intuitive item system
even for me as dota and lol veteran it was hard to figure out, yet alone for other players
-ugly generic looking map
they took no advantage of the engine power until the redesign late into its life
-uninspired character design
-ugly as all fuck, looked like an upscaled 800x600 game due to txaa, foliage and hair dithered rendering that would render it at half of the resolution and huge mounts of post processing blur
-weak waifus
They didnt even try really. Tried to cash in on a trend with no real plan or ideas on where to take it.
No map or building theme (hell vs heaven, industrial vs nature, fire vs water ), no coherency or direction to hero design, and no clear design direction in gameplay.
And again, awful waifus.
not changing the core gameplay 3 times. there was no true identity to the game since the radical shifts in fundamental gameplay elements kept fracturing the community it did have while scaring off potential new players who didn't want to fall in love with something that could just change on them at the drop of a hat.
how bad are the servers rn?

Is this what Paragon fags actually believe?
I tried the game 3 or 4 times, after each change, and it played as the exact same boring slow mess with no moment to moment gameplay change. It was till slow and pointless pew pew pewing in lane.
Random number shuffling and card changes matter shit all if they dont reflect any changes in the lane game.
Same goes for map change, it dosnt matter f both of them play the same.
