This game seems to have shitty controls but after about 10 minutes you get used to them and it's not that bad. I think the game's biggest problem is how lacking in content it is. You can 100% it in like an hour, 40 minutes if you're decent at it.
Famously bad games that are inexplicably enjoyable and fun to play
Can you feel the sunshine?
Does it brighten up your day?
Don't you feel that sometimes
you just need to run away?

I could never beat anything with sonic, favourite racer was mecha knuckles
>Famously bad
It being bad bad is a meme. It's actually a great game
Great is a strong word for this game. It's fun for an hour or so, but I wouldn't call it great.
I always played Knuckles. Mecha Knuckles was cool, though. I miss when developers would put weird new stuff like that in games. It's like hey, we have a metal sonic character, why not try making a Knuckles version? And while we're at it, let's do a weird Tails doll character.
The other day I was talking to someone about how many people enjoy Sonic adventure in spite of its multiple bugs and how broken and dumb they are. I like to call these "campy games" since they have the same effect, games made with tons of effort that fall short on most areas, but others (and not necessarily the gameplay) are so good that kinda overshadow the bad parts in a good way. But surely there's need to be a distinction between the enjoyable because is bad (Sonic 06) and the enjoyable in spite of the bad (Sonic Adventure).
Deadly premonition is a campy game to show a non Sonic example.
That's not diamond in the sky

The sonic adventure games are only enjoyable at all because of the music.

>mfw people talk shit about the soundtrack

The only people who think Sonic R is bad are retards who tried to control a racing game like a 3D platformer. Its not great, but its a serviceable racer,
...
I agree. With more content it would probably be more popular.
I used to play this game at work during long meetings on my PC. Used to try and 100% it as quickly as possible. Good times.
I'm in love with the graphics, I wish Sonic got a proper 3D platformer that looked like that.
This pisses me off too
Kino in music form
>mfw JonTron sperged out about how this music doesn't belong in Sonic at all and has no idea what he's talking about
That was like 6 years ago, user. He was younger, more naive and riding the "sonic R is total shit" train. Also he was right when he said the music didn't fit in a sonic game. It doesn't. It's good but that doesn't mean it fits in a sonic game, and a racing sonic game at that.
This is only further proven by the fact that Jon deleted that video from his channel. He's clearly embarrassed by it.
It's 90s pop music. It's very much in range of Sonic's style, only slightly outside it at most, but not so much it doesn't belong. I'm wondering what Jon thought Sonic music was supposed to sound like if Sonic R of all things was apparently in complete opposition of Sonic music.
If you think Sonic R's music is 90's pop you haven't listened to much 90's pop.
Sonic R is 90s new age.
Upset that your bait didn't get any butthurt reactions?
