It's not much gore as it is a bloodstain but a couple years ago I bought Crash Bandicoot 1 in mint condition with box and manual from a thrift store about 2 years ago for $20. Its too big, no room to put in a case. My store we just throw them in the clearance section even though its still full fucking price.

1 heat sticker with low heat element
2 wait like 5 -10 seconds
3 remove sticker - adhesive has melted enough to allow for easy removal

Dunno if it's just in my country or if other countries also have this cancer but so many games older than 2 fucking years have some retarded "classic collection" which always have some fucking shit all over the cover, often the cover is just fucking small as fuck in the middle with gigantic outline, in the worst cases they have some differently shaped box, not of some high quality and good looking like collector editions but a fucking plastic box of different proportions, the worst case I've ever seen was all above but the plastic was fucking orange.
So whenever you want to buy a game older than a fucking year you have to either look around the internet for still sealed copy from release that was left over or just buy a disgusting box that doesn't match anything but at that point you may as well just buy digital.

It's all beacuse retards at Cenega, probably the most incompetent company I've ever seen, decided that it's a good idea to make boxes fucking terrible, the worst part is that they pretty much have monopoly on distributing vidya in most slav countries.
