It's been years since I browsed /vg/'s Alicesoft general but I think so. I remember it being commonly cited as one of the biggest reasons Alicesoft games wouldn't make it over in the West because of how it's hardcore rape, torture porn, and general bad news. Daikuji makes Rance look like he lives in the Victorian era, at least if my memory is correct.
