Haru is playable in mid September, Akechi isn't playable until the first of November and the story prevents him being rewritten to be earlier in any future releases.
You also have rose tinted glasses, Naoto in Persona 4 isn't playable until the November Heaven dungeon. Her social is a 3 way tie with Mitsuru, Aigis, and Naoto having the latest possible starting points for any social link activity. Haru was mishandled, but let's not throw hyperboles. She could be retrofitted to the summer without endangering the flashback plot. Akechi is stuck in no mans cultural festival island in November starting point forever. Akechi and his Japanese fanbase are the ones who got fucked the hardest.
