To be fair he said "Mega Man X is better than the original series", which isn't necessarily true imo. X1 is one of the best games of all time but the quality dropped off hard for the next two games, and after X3 the series became irredeemable. Classic Mega Man has a consistent, solid quality across all of its titles even if they don't change much and if you want to count Mega Man 9 it's easily as good as X1
