That being said, he's saying more "traditional" Rhythm games. Personally, I'd reccomend Taiko no Tatsujin, Project DIVA, and Pop'n Music (if you can find an arcade with it).

Parappa 1 is kind of mediocre but it's a classic and very quick. Umjammer Lammy and Parappa 2 are great though.
BothDJ Hero games are great, unique, and have tremendous soundtracks, while also being really cheap to get these days.
