Capcom are the real monsters.

Worldfags are the real casuals.

My fiance was watching me play the other day. The AnjanathnI was hunting startednto whine and limp away, and she said I was a terrible person.

yeah you are bad for not mauling it to death into constant trip loops before it could limp away

It's a fun casual game, perfect fit for me. "muh h4rdc0re" faggots can go play that XX shit on Nintentablet.

>Humans are the apex predators
FTFY

monsters are the real humans

Any way to sort / filter investigations?

>mfw flipping through 25 pages

I just bought it yesterday. Got about 6 hours into it. Its my first monster hunter game and im having fun with it.

MH is a casual game. Your as good as the amount you grind.

Those monsters are trying to kill you user.

Past your first game these games are not hard, especially if you came from F and FU, dont pretend the games were hard after that because they really really were not.

They were though. And its a terrible justification too.
>hurr you played a MH before that means its ok that they completely neuter the difficulty in future games
You assholes need to fuck off. Its clear that you dont like the series.

Nah man. See my boy Dodogama here. All he wants to do is eat rocks and sleep.

hunters are like native americans. They use every part of the monsters they hunt. No waste. I see no problem with it.

FUfag here, agree that everything that came after was extremely easy. Doesn't help that I was like 10 when I first played FU and english wasn't my native language. Still play with my original 3 man squad on World.

2300+ hours on FU, those were the good times man

*disproves u*

Seriously this guy is harder than most Apex and he's only the first Deviant I've fought. And his combos have such insane range and tracking that you can't even Bushido most of them. OHKOs through 200 defense, what the fuck

I just wish this game had more variety, it's like BotW in these terms. Great entry and great stepping stone for a revamp of a series, but the game itself lacks in variety and I hope the next games improve that.

I'm stuck at pink rathian and want to try something other than the GS.
Is bow fun? And can I use my dark souls rolling profiency with it?

This fat lizard is the epitome of Nigga's you jump in a fight when they don't need to. If i got
a nickel for everytime he's gone hostile and jumped into a hunt he's got no business being in, I'd swimming in my fortune like Scoorge Mcduck.

Niggas who jump in a fight*

you delete the ones you will never do. though i hear if you let it max out the new investigations just replace the lowest ranked one you have.

i just delete anything that isn't tempered since i really don't need parts from anything anymore.

i need to burn through what i have though i'm at 32 tempered investigations and it seems like i get 1-2 new ones every other hunt without trying so they slowly increase in number.

Yet still 0 hours in 3U, 4U and XX, all games considerably harder than Auto-Reload Unite. You missed out, dude.

A BS boss didn't make it less casual.

>calling shadow pooh a boss

How the fuck do you get the alloy armor?

That stupid event Anjanath is too fucking big and keeps killing me in like 2 hits and I can't even reach his face. What the fuck?

Primates are the real monsters

This. Fuck Congala and Blagonga.

What weapon you using?

kick his shins in until he falls over.

Dual blades. His head and tail is so high now. What is this artificial difficulty?

this is a legit strat for anything you cannot hit the weak spots of which is good to know when Deviljho comes out.

leg attacks will cause the monster to trip eventually.

lmao manlet blades spot is the legs anyways.
know your place.

never said I didn't play the 3ds games, just said I had the most fun with the series with FU which I also found to be the hardest, either because it was the first MH game I seriously invested time in or because it was actually hard. Played 4U in 2015, 400 something hours in definitely fun but far from the hardest.

Mh iframes are much shorter than souls but it is possible for most attacks to roll through

people like you are why i have to run a flinch-free decoration when i play online as hammer.

>get a Stun off

>dual blade user shows up and goes full ham knockback locking me for the duration of the Stun instead of letting me deal 1000-1500 damage in a big bang combo.

m.youtube.com/watch?v=l2KINJFwnVE

Well yes, the idea with short weapons is to hit its legs a bunch of time still it falls over, and you can lay into its weak spots when its on the ground, if you cant get good at staying constantly on the enemy then dont use a short weapon, they do piss poor damage unless you are able to stick to the enemy constantly hitting them.

Since you seem to be a basic bitch then SOS flare or join one yourself, let the others carry you

>Fight Congalala for the first in XX
>Badass, epic jungle music starts playing

I did not expect this.

>worldbabs

Weird how you fight him long after Blangonga in XX.

>Monster Hunter doesn't refer to a person who hunts monsters
>It refers to a hunter, who is a monster

He killed millions...

She was right.

You have to be really terrible in the game to not immediately stun it, trap it and capture it when it even flinches in a way that might indicate that it will limp away.

>capturing and thus missing out on gems
found the shitter.
you flashbomb its anus when it wants to run awaay and finish it off.

Redhelm is a cunt

Won’t killing an elder dragon risk another war?

capturing nets you the same rewards as carving. This is true for at least anja

Someone hasn't been reading about drop rates

STOP

tl;dr: they have same rates but capping has more rolls per cap vs 3 carves, therefore Kirin armor bonus is recommended

and?

And so monsters are the real Monster Hunters.

The ending annoyed me a bit.
Mild spoilers but it's a MH game so who gives a shit
>discover a new, never-before-seen elder dragon
>it's literally a newborn that just hatched before your eyes
>its life might hold untold secrets about the nature of the world and the creatures in it
>BETTER KILL THIS IMMEDIATELY AND SKIN IT FOR PARTS

Unironically made me think

>allowing a pissed off baby elder dragon to mature
Congrats you just doomed the world

Read the description on some of the quests in these games and youll see that the Hunters are the monsters.
>I need a new coat, capture X monster alive!
and so on.

I'm all for removing the elder dragon menace but beating a newborn to death with my fuckhuge sword just never sat right with me. I dunno, I'd think the researchers would want some live data before I march back to town to fashion this legendary creature into a codpiece. Little fucker never even had a chance, especially considering how easy he is.
You're not wrong, though.
They/We really are. I guess a Monster Preservation Activist game would be boring as fuck.

Is the multiplayer any good?

It's great, lots of fun. The group shares the cart limit though so one shitter can nuke your hunt. Bring those group healing powders.

A hoonter moost hoont.

*stabs leg with syringe*

That's how you do subspecies honestly. Lucent Nargacuga is still the best iteration of Nargacuga just because he's so damn hard.

well think about it, we know that elder dragons bring destruction and chaos wherever they go, and now we learn that this new elder dragon has been amassing massive energy and shit, the first rationnal thought is this thing is going to destroy everything so we better take it out as a safety measure

Elder dragons are considered to be abnormal creatures which don't belong in this world so killing them is always a top priority, also they're immortal and constantly reincarnating so it doesn't do shit in the end.

Do you get more chance of a gem if you capture an elder dragon?

You can't capture elders, nor your traps do anything to them.

>abnormal creatures which don't belong in this world

On what basis? They seem to be part of the natural world. The big ones even become massive new ecosystems when they die

deep af

Hunters are the equal dragon weapon.

Which don't belong in our world*

A rising elder dragon population pretty much means the end of human/wyverian civilization, can't have that again.

Seems like we're judging Xeno on what we expect it to do instead of what it's actually done. The damn thing was literally just born and, even though it clearly looks and acts aggressive, it hasn't really hurt anybody or anything yet.
I don't disagree with you or though. The elder dragons don't seem to fit in with the rest of the ecosystem so nuking them on sight is probably for the best.
Still, baby dragon. Not a very sporting hunt if we're just killing things fresh out the egg.

What's with wyverians anyway? With a name like that I assumed there must be some relation to wyverns but they're just elf-eared people?

>Not a very sporting hunt if we're just killing things fresh out the egg
I feel this argument doesn't really work when it's the size of a building and fires lasers.
