The funny thing is this is all because of issues that #GamerGate brought up heavily in 2013-2014, before the media pretended they were a harassment campaign (which the FBI disproved, google it) or something to push them down (no one made the connection that the media was just fighting back against what #GamerGate accused them of and took their word as truth) ... and now we have this. The journalists have all killed themselves because they went full SJW trying to prove they weren't corrupt which only highlighted how corrupt they really are.
tl;dr - #GamerGate was right.

Streamers have the advantage of self-selecting their games, so they're apt to pick genres they understand and like instead of having to shit out some copy about something they don't care for to make a deadline.
