Never has a demo made me cancel a preorder before.
Never has a demo made me cancel a preorder before
RE6 was the first to do that for me.
>ordered it
>cancelled it
>shit post
>never has "x thing" made me do "x action
Sure pal, you never cancelled a pre-order after playing a demo
Not at all.
what else are you gonna play on your shitty tablet?
>Royal Mail
You're a bong, of course you've got shit taste. GB2Fifa
I'll just wait for something to come out that I want to play and play games elsewhere?
Do you only own one console?
>babbys first photoshop
are sony rats really getting this desperate.
not him but do you ever get tired of shitposting the same shit over and over again?
>Implying there's anything wrong with Fifa
Get back to your soy, you fucking homo.
Wait, what happened? Explain.
What the fuck would even be wrong with the demo that would have caused you to cancel your pre-order? How could you just look at the fiest level of the game and go "yup, I knew it, this one beginning level proves that the game is shit."
>inb4 the framerate!!
You already knew this before you even saw the demo was available. It was common knowledge.
This is one elaborate shitpost, but on the off chance that you’re being honest what did you hate so much about the game that made you cancel the preorder?
nintendoga/v/ SEETHING
>b-but sony
RENT
FREE
the soyboys are the ones who lap up all the Marxist AAA trash from the west like FIFA, not people who prefer Japanese games.
Not him but I think Kirby running at 30 fps instead of 60 turned him off of the game.
This was common knowledge.
Played the game, found it to be slower than I remember Kirby being, I thought the framerate wouldn't be as noticable as it was, having 3 NPCs around you at all times made it a bit of a clusterfuck and also made it incredibly easy, the first boss went down in seconds. I just found it boring. it's something that could be more fun as a multiplayer experience but I don't think I'd enjoy playing any more than I did and I'm not spending £35 to find out.
Bought Nier Automata on PC instead. Waiting for Hollow Knight and the Shovel Knight expansion on Switch atm.
Knowing something and experiencing something is totally different. Why does it matter that it was common knowledge? Does that mean I'm not allowed to have an issue with it?
The pound sign didn’t tip you off Mr Poirot?
Not him but Japanese games are pretty soyboy-core
also
>Marxist and AAA in the same sentence
That’s fair enough. I’ve got someone to play it with so I’m probably gonna have a better time than someone who’s going solo.
What isn’t soyboy-core at this point?
I did it with Project X Zone. I still have the demo in my 3DS log book just so I can remember the exactly eight minutes I spent with it.
>WOW COOL IT'S A GAME WHERE I CAN MAKE A TEAM OUT OF ANYONE I WANT FROM ANYTHING EVER
>Get into a fight with a goomba/met-tier enemy
>500 MILLION BAJILLION HITS
>760 ZILLION DILLION BILLION JILLION DAMAGE
>They only lose a third of their health bar
>You have to do this again, and again, and again, doing the same stupid canned combos every single fucking time
>Go to gamestop in the morning and cancel
Fair enough. I'm just surprised you misremembered the general difficulty level of Kirby games so much that you didn't realise the sort of cakewalk you were walking into.
I'm holding back myself. I'm not dropping $60 for this.
>preordering Kirby games
JUST
my last kirby game was nightmare in dreamland on GBA, I don't remember it being hard at all but I remember it being a lot more fun to play.
You missed NOTHING, Project X-Zone is a truly terrible video game.
>didn’t hide the order number
We can still track you down but I don’t even care who you are
>The same cycle of Kirby shitposters who forgot how Kirby games are played
Good riddance, you don’t need it
>preordering in the first place
The regular Kirby games are just so goddamn bland And easy now (though I’m still interested in Robobot). At the MOST, Kirby should only be 2-player.
I would argue that in general Kirby is one of Nintendo’s actual “kids” games as opposed to just being all-ages.
This looks like more samey Kirby, as usual. Dev cycle time is the same, too.
Unless there's an unlockable MWW mode or something, this game is fucked.
Why don't they make a full 3d Kirby game? What is stopping them? Stubbornness?
Theres a demo?
Came out today.
I cancelled monster hunter world preorder after the beta. Everyone was saying that it had combat like dark souls but it was way dumber and more tedious. Turns out the reason people like the game is because the entire thing is a huge grind
Christ, just fuck off. This is one of the few video-game related threads up right now.
You mean Like a 3D platformer instead of 2.5D? Probably because they would have to spend a LOT more time and money designing it. I would bet they’re not opposed to it if someone internally had a decent idea (since Kirby’s well known), but as it is these Kirby games are just quick and easy for them to pump out
Kirby just seems like such a big brand for Nintendo, i don't know why they hinder it to such a stale and formulaic genre. Just seems very lazy.
I was under the impression that they'd given it a few attempts and just decided the formula doesn't work in 3D.
Also, I think that Kirby loses some of its grip and simple appeal going to 3D. It could be done as far as gameplay and powers and stages, but I think bosses would lose ALL of their teeth since Kirby can fly. Not to mention, 3D isn't as easy or fun to pick-up-and-play/replay as 2D.
Whereas a collectathon like Shantae would be far better-conveyed in 3D.
Time & money. Plus, shitting out a 2D Kirby just makes money for some reason.
There's a reason why Retro is taking so long with the next Donkey Kong game.
>retro made full 3d Donkey Kong
I honestly think i'd pass out if it was ever announced.
3d platformers are a meme and its good that nintendo understands that and allows their devs to make some of their franchises 2D still.
nothing worse than the forced 3D gameplay retardation that started with the n64.
>yfw it's Donkey Kong 64-esque without all of the bullshit
>people thought this game would be good
>Donkey, Diddy, Dixie, Cranky and Kiddy are all playable
who the fuck keeps buying those shitty kirby and yoshi games? literal baby games
Don't you dare talk shit about Yoshi's Woolly World.
It's the only new Switch game coming out in the next 6 months, what else can they do?
>WAAAAAAH 3D IS TOO HAAAAAAAARD
Actually, lemme rephrase that:
>3D MARIO BAW BAW JUST MAKES ME BAW BAW
3D Mario games are fucking fantastic, even the wonky ones like SMS. Go play something more your speed, like Barbie Horse Adventures.
Oh banana
Epic Yarn, ace. Great game.
Woolly World, boring. The Shy Guy egg color requirement in Bowser's Castle was the only clever part.
>this is the level 3d babbs argue on
>Kirby
>incredibly easy
No way!
there's a difference between 'this isn't challenging' and 'this game is playing itself'
Robobot is goat. Legit anyone who shits on it has terrible taste. I'd fight a man over this game's good name.
>Bought Nier Automata
So you really do have shit taste
the best part of kirby, mechanically, is the movement. and that can't really be translated into 3d very well.
But Mario Odyssey is arguably the best controlling Mario to date. Who's to say the Mario team couldn't help the Kirby team lock down 3d movement?
Kirby is fundamentally a different beast than Mario.
The latter is about kinetic movement and powerups that more often than not alter your movement options, while Kirby is a slower-paced, combat-focused series.
Even in Odyssey the combat doesn't evolve beyond jumping on shit and throwing Cappy, but for Kirby they would have to re-imagine the movesets for 20-odd unique abilities.
Oh! NSMBabby can talk! Okay, here goes:
Like my wife that can't even pass Chemical Plant Zone Act 1, the people that hate 3D Mario can't put in the effort to learn basic spatial reasoning in a 3D environment. Yes, each game's physics are different (SMS being PARTICULARLY nitpicky/poorly-made), but any 3D Mario game afterwards gives you a correcting double-jump method that you really shouldn't even need for basic leaps (yet many still do). Additionally, 3D Mario does not have the "fly over the whole level to the goal" issues of SMB3, SML2, SMW, and others. It also adds a layer of depth to the Mario world in exploration and views of geography that 2D games rarely provide due to repeating backgrounds and simple flat display limitations.
Okay, your turn.
lmao
Ordering a game and then instantly canceling it. Sure showed those Nintenoddlers.
I own 45 Switch games faggot.
>this is the level 2d babbs argue on
>follow up your garbage shitpost with another shitpost strawman about 3d platformers being too hard for those who think they are shit
>expect a proper response
lmao
Why would you own 45 copies of BOTW?
Flying in a 3D space isn't the issue with Kirby, there are plenty of ways to counter that. I think it's the complexity that abilities would be handled if they still want that Super Star inspired moveset. It would be better if they first have each ability do one or two specific moves like in Adventure or Dreamland 2/3, then later build off of that in the later years.
Planet Robobot was pretty good, don't know why you think otherwise.
This is why I'm just going to have one helper with me instead of 3
>not going solo the whole game
Why would you own multiple copies of Super Mario Odyssey and BOTW?
You realize the whole ally thing is the entire gimmick of this game?
>not having Plugg join you
HAAH WAAW
>I DON'T AGREE WITH IT THEREFORE IT'S A SHITPOST
You didn't read the rest of it, then. NSMBabby can speak, but can't read. My mistake. Not like you have anything of value to say, anyway.
Granted, bosses can be handled in 3D just like they did with PR or 64 - limit the flightbox.
I don't think the movesets are an issue, as their movement is only incremental. But momentum-based puzzles and Wheel would be HELL.
