>I’m quite confident in my speed you know

Jesus did Gohan cave Cell's thigh in?

Lol

Everyone who isn't an autistic /fgc/ sperg knew that FighterZ won't have any lasting appeal beyond the faggot gay cancer autistic community.
People beat the story mode and went back to playing the actually fun and accessible Xenoverse.

>Is surprised a game with free DLC that just came out is popular again.
Who would have thought?

XV2 just got new content updates. Had that not been the case, DBFZ would more than likely have more players playing it. But to be fair I have both those games on ps4 anyways.

OH NO NO NO

I don't really have words for this. Even if it got new content, it's still MUCH older. And DBFZ is much more recent too. That's painful.

>tfw cell's thigh and kneecap looks like a penis from the thumbnail

>Buying a fighting game on PC

more like
>Xenoverse fags got bodied in FighterZ and went back to their autistic playpen

>"It doesn't have crossplay? I-It'll be fine, I promise"

i enjoyed both

Oof

That's because they just added Gokú Blanco and Buff Ayy to the game

>playing fighters on pc

gracias doctor

party game status: confirmed

I play fighting games on PC. It's fine.

I think people are underestimating the popularity of Xenoverse if they thought FighterZ was gonna blow it out of the water. FighterZ is a solid fighter that looks really really good but has no lasting appeal for the more casual crowd, it's a DBZ game for fighting game fans. The whole point is fighting other players online. Meanwhile Xenoverse 2 is a DBZ fans wet dream where you can create your OC donut steel and give him/her almost any move from the series and throw that dude into massive amounts of grindy MMO style content. Will take you a very long time to complete even if you never touch multiplayer content and if you do there's co-op play for the lesser players who just wanna play together and beat the missions, not just PvP.

>lost 41k players in a month
>behind a 2 YEAR OLD GAME
oh no no no no no no

user, paid DLC on it's own gives a game a boost in users.
This game just had paid DLC AND free DLC to do so and it's still barely 1500 users over Fighterz, that's not impressive at all. In fact it's the exact opposite, it's pitiful for Xenoverse.

>In fact it's the exact opposite, it's pitiful for Xenoverse.

>party game for brainlets is more popular than actual fighting game
no shit

Xenoverse 2 is also fucking old.
Hell, a sequel could already be a thing at this point, considering how battle arena games go.

It's simply PC having shit for fighting game fans.

whatever you say, but at least I'm not the one whose going to be playing a dead in two months. lol

The number of players on PS4 is also plummeting. This game is going to be completely dead soon if they don't release the Broly and Bardock DLC.

>Xenoverse 2 is also fucking old.
And?
You're ignoring the fact that DLC SHOULD boost userbases by a large margin regardless of age but didn't do so for Xenoverse 2 even though this is arguably one of the larger updates they've put out.

OH NONONO

>you now remember when Sup Forums said that DBZF would average around 10k

youtu.be/hADsEnN5IWs

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

...

>Xenoverse 2
>Old

barely 1.5 years isn't old.

NANI?!

>tfw Sup Forumspcmasterrace is silent now despite pretending PC would average 10k a month post launch
God I love seeing you manchildren wrong at every claim.

FighterZ fans on suicide watch.

How the fuck do I continue my block strings with assists? It's fucking impossible to get the timing right and my fingers feel like killing me. I think my button layout is fucking retarded because pressing attack button + assist is awkward as fuck.
I legit think playing with a pad would be easier.

What's your opinion on this?

I ENJOY Oblivion

Lol

OH NO NO NO NO

I hope every mechanic in DBFZ stays in DBFZ. I don't want other FGs tainted with plus on block auto neutral mechanics like vanish or auto combos that auto correct and come out on whiff while having better hit boxes than normal moves.

average 10k drop per week

>mfw 41% win rate in ranked
how do I get good bros?

I don't play fighting games because I like fun

Weird, I find it easier to combine assists with stick.
I'm using MvC layout and usually line up my assists by pressing two buttons at the same time, mostly M+Assist or H+Assist.
Are you using specific characters?

Not saying you're bullshitting or anything. But where do you get your numbers? I've been meaning to look for some kind of site that has a database repository to compare what games have more players on what platform.

PLEASE DELETE THIS
NO NO NOOOOOOOO

I'm just bullshitting actually.

>literally nothing to learn past a certain point due to the game having so much tied into auto combos
>1v1
>no voice chat

the game is fun to play now and then but not enough for me to play it full time.

and most of all
>pc gamers always go back to what's popular such as dota, lol, pubg or whatever the current popular streaming game is

I'm not sure how anyone expects any fighting game to have 10k+ ever.

but fighting games are very fun, if you are good at them that is

Why did you guys have to turn this thread into a Fighterz vs Xenoverse shit-flinging contest?

Anyone knows what he says in japanese when he does his attack?

fighterZ is a great game but honestly it's just too annoying for people new to fighting games.

the matchmaking is honestly so atrocious that it will never match you up with anyone remotely skilled unless you get that weird bug where it matches you up with yourself (not kidding).

So half your matches will be you completely destroying someone, and the other half will be you completely getting destroyed.

I have never played another game where I learned so little by just playing the game. saying this as someone who was grand master in sc2, global elite in cs go and recently grand champion in rocket league by the way. I'm used to git gud at games but this game makes the very process unenjoyable. If someone like me doesn't stick around nobody else will.

coming in from other online games, fighterz also have a lot of online stuff that makes zero sense. for example, having to accept an already matchmade match makes zero sense. the ranking system is ass and unintuitive, etc.

its capcbros from /fgg/ spamming as usual and linking to the thread, check here

Casuals dropping it too on Consoles. Story mode and done. I've had at least 6 other acquaintances dropping it. Fucking fags don't want to put in the effort to learn the game. The same SHIT happened with Guilty gear came out too.
This is true.

...

sorry, I meant to write 'anyone remotely equally skilled to you'

>unless you get that weird bug where it matches you up with yourself (not kidding).
Wut, post video or elaborate, how does that even work?

it'll just literally find yourself as an opponent in matchmaking. when you get that 'accept the match' dialog it will show your name, and if you accept it, the dialog will pop up a second time (presumably, because their servers ask both players to accept the match, so it asks you twice). but after that, nothing happens. would've been at least hilarious if you could literally play yourself but this way it's just sad.

plus on block is pretty much the only mechanic in this game i really don't like. auto combos are great because they're fun for people new to the game but have an incredible amount of depth for experienced players (you can use them and their positiong warping/hitbox behavior to extend combos in ways that wouldn't otherwise be possible etc.)

SFV has crossplay and lower input lag on PC

thanks doc

Stop giving a shit

XENOVERSE 2 AT EVO WHEN

What rank are you? I dont want to give advice that'll go over your head/you allready know.

Honestly I would love a game with BT3, RB or XV style to be played competitively but the games are fair to broken and unbalanced for that.

>having to accept an already matchmade match makes zero sense
It's there to confirm that you're not AFK, and it lets you decide if you want to play the person (if you recognize the name and decide against it, or if you see that they have an unstable connection).
The only thing about it that doesn't make sense is that you can't back out after you've accepted, so you have to wait the whole 60 seconds if they're afk.

i dont understand this post. pc fighting games are always the best versions and all pro players agree. they often have the most players due to a longer tail except right at launch from the higher sales. is this some attempt to make yourself feel better about paying a monthly fee for an inferior version of the game?

Can anybody properly explain the ranked system to me? Is it based on the points, the square color or a mix of both?

BP determines your rank.
Square color is your threat level.
You only get BP by playing in ranked matches. Threat level is based on ALL matches played.

To rank up your threat level, you have to beat opponents with your similar threat level 10 times. It does not need to be consecutive, but a loss will negate a win. As far as I've been told, only opponents with similar square color matter. So in theory, if you achieve a pink square, continue to lose, you will keep your pink square as long as you refuse to match with other pink square players.

I think that's one of the best ways to create an online ranking system I've seen. It's like a combination of Street Fighter and Tekken's rankings.

I think I'm Frieza Clan right now. Idk what you mean.

hello

>fighterz
>seriously expecting it to die that fast

Whether you enjoy fighting games or not you're a fucking idiot

So what's so funny about this? You only need one other person to fight. I don't see why this is a big deal. Especially considering Xenoverse is literally a group raid MMO-esque game.

Super clashes are funny

does father-son kamehameha beat out all beam supers or is it just a scripted thing when you're against cell to be like the anime?

it beats out all level 3s because when it's extended (when you see Goku the second time), it goes beyond level 3.

>SonicFox dominates a game
>it dies
not surprised

if you're afk you shouldn't be matchmaking. if want to cherry pick your opponents you shouldn't be matchmaking.

it's inferior to a properly autoaccepting matchmaking system in just about every way. it increases the time needed from start of search to beginning of search by sometimes an order magnitude, for example if it instantly finds a match and then your opponent doesn't accept for 10 seconds. it allows extremely stupid behavior like cherrypicking likely worse opponents to artificially inflate your winrate, causing even more trouble for players who just want to play the game.

you really can't argue for it. you're just used to it probably from other fighting games. but it objectively makes no sense.

PC's player base for fightan is abysmal in number. Since it's almost entirely reliant on player count it's naturally a terrible platform for the genre.

A few fightan games add the option of crossplay which does wonders, but the ones that don't tend to die a lot faster than their console counterparts. They tend to RIP pretty hard outside of small circles.

it results in legitimately the worst matchmaking ever displayed in any online game ever.

I'd suck Cell's cock

It's built off an arcade cabinet metaphor, that's why you don't appreciate it.
And you absolutely should be allowed to refuse matches against someone with a shit connection.

Exactly this. I have my irks about FighterZ and I prefer games like Guilty Gear and Tekken over it, but I still really like Xenoverse 2 for the dbgasm it gives. I don't understand why anyone would ever think FighterZ would just blow XV2 out of the water, they're two different types of games that are catered to two different types of DBZ fans.

I disagree. Having a ranking system for all matches really sucks the fun out of trying out new characters and team compositions when I have to worry about losing my red square. I prefer ranked matches, but sometimes I just want fun over competition, but I always have to think about losing too many matches. Also the threat level is completely fucked because a red squared vs a green square doesn't mean shit when the red square is a Android and the green square is a SSJ3.

I agree, but I'm not sure if that is due to the threat system or just shitty netcode and design. It seems to be better post-match, but damn is it not ideal.

Haha wrong

...

You can filter out shitty connections before you enter matchmaking, but you've never played online so you wouldn't have known that.
