I just beat pic related, and I must say it was a lot of fun.
A lot of the new characters were tons of fun and charming as all hell, while they did a good job with the recurring lot. The new mechanics introduced (like the Psych-lock) were great and added really complimentary features to the gameplay.
The logic overall felt a little weaker than the first game however. I can't tell if they were just slightly harder or if they (as I suspect) just didn't make as much sense. There felt like there were more leaps of faith and guesswork as the evidence you got made less sense in the context you were to present them. It felt like it had more trial and error than the first game.
That being said the stories told were excellent, exciting and fun at all the right places and the dramatics of the characters elevated the experience.
I'm not really sure I liked Edgy's character development much, but I guess it does make sense in context.
Also their Pursuit-theme wasn't as good as Cornered.
Now go play AA3 and then play both Edgeworth games right after that since they work best playing them after AA3. Then you can play the Apollo games on 3DS (since they remade AA4 on 3DS as well few months back with much better spritework)
Brody Green
I will! I'm looking forward to playing AA3 a ton. Fuck I'm loving these goofy games. I can totally understand why they have the following they do.
Is the 3Ds first-trilogy any good? I'm thinking of buying a 3DS (they're pretty cheap where I live) just to play AA3 on it.
Can't wait for Edgy's own game! Have a feeling I'll miss Phoenix a lot when Apollo takes the wheel though... Is he a good character?
Jason Rivera
Shit games for Nintenbabies.
Daniel Sullivan
>Fuck I'm loving these goofy games. I can totally understand why they have the following they do. Everyone who's played them has this reaction. They look like such simple puzzle games at first glance but the court-room battles and the characters really grow on you. And don't worry, without spoiling it for you, Apollo doesn't stay in the driving seat for long.
Also posting best witness.

Don't be a fag.
Ryan Hill
Thanks for bumping the thread you obsessed faggot.

>Cornered
Now there's something we can all agree on. Ironically enough one of the few things the anime got right: youtube.com/watch?v=OZfCwUuj-O0
Why must Sonybros always shit up the place?
Isaac Thomas
I think Apollo is a decent character, and there's something refreshing about being in the shoes of a rookie again. It's also possible that you won't miss Phoenix as much as you might suspect.
Robert Gonzalez
Good to know, and yeah being a rookie sounds like fun. I'll keep an open mind then, thanks.
I'll abandon the thread now before someone spoils something and go in with an open mind after I've beaten AA3. Thanks user.
Carter Gomez
Apparently the writer had to throw the script for this game together within a couple months or some shit.
I think that the motivations and murder methods in the game are mostly sorta weak but the banter is still as good as ever and I do like a lot of the characters in it personally.
Juan Gonzalez
AA2 had objectively the worst music during the Trials of the entire series
Mason Morris
The 3DS remake of the trilogy looks a little janky. You're better off emulating 3, I think. Personally, I think the whole atmosphere of Apollo Justice is very interesting, but a lot of people seem to dislike it because it's a bit more cynical than the other games in the series. You'll see what I mean when you get there.
The tutorial case of that game is pretty excellent, though.

>NO PS4 = NO BUY
Gabriel Clark
3DS version of Trilogy is awful because it's very low effort and they didn't even bother making in-between animations for anyone that isn't main character, despite EVERYONE having inbetweens on DS originals. Best way to play: Original Trilogy on DS Edgeworth games on DS AA4/5/6 Trilogy on 3DS
Angel Davis
Noted.
How are the android versions of 4/5/6?
Christian Wood
I mean, they're okay but you get objectively inferior experience because touch cancer and no dual screen interface to avoid screen clutter.
John Gomez
Yeah that sounds about right. Think I'll go with the 3DS versions then. Thanks!
Ian Barnes
Just make sure to grab the 3DS and not the DS version of AA4. The remake has drastically better spritework, it wasn't lazily made like the AA1-3 Trilogy port from iOS.
Jason Allen
Same as the 3DS version but higher resolution and 6 has less random framerate drops. The second screen is completely superfluous in these games honestly.
Angel James
>PS4
Xavier Lewis
Get the handheld versions 1/2/3 & if you can get the android versions of 4/5/6 but the 3DS versions of those are fine too honestly. 7 will probably be on Switch (maybe android release too, but not until a while later probably)
Experience isn't detracted by touch screen controls in this game given that it's a menu-based game to begin with, and clutter is a non-issue considering the other screen on the DS/3DS is mostly just taken up by a gigantic "press for next dialogue" button to begin with.
