Blizzard had no plan for her character post Arthas's death but she was too popular for them to kill off. Sylvanas killing herself at ICC would have been Kino, but then she was turned into "EBIL TYRANT BUT IS AKSHULLY DA GUD GUY". Some of her new lines in the BFA beta actually promising and like she's growing as a character but knowing Blizz it's gonna lead nowhere.
