They will keep 3D spotting, because somehow people can't find others without it. I think the only things we know about it are attachments are back, and RBD is gone.

I imagine this will go full out with the customization. They already had lootboxes for weapon and vehicle skins, so I expect soldier customization now. It has never mattered being able to tell an Assault from an Engineer from a distance. For the most part the only games that had very recognizable classes was Bad Co 2 because of ghillie snipers, and WW1's Scouts/Snipers. With full customization, they will drop premium and just do free maps/weapons while they rake in the sweet microtransactions.

The movement will be even slower and clunkier than Battlefield 1 and Battlefront II. Terrible maps, terrible vehicle balance if helicopters are in, and a single player that has surprising potential, but is ultimately a letdown because they didn't put enough resources into it. Seriously, everything DICE does is predictable and somewhat dissapointing since Battlefield 3.

I am fine with it, its unavoidable. Developers are basically forced/obligated by publishers to try to make microtransactions work. Same with Battle Royale. If you can tweak it, force that mode in. Its going to happen at some point.

They already started spreading out map releases for expansions in BF1. Instead of dropping 4 maps at once, they do one every two weeks or something. Its because people just came back to play hard, and then quit again until the next expansion. They want that constant playerbase.

I'd also like them to figure out what mode they will design maps around. BF1 felt alot like Bad Co 2 in that everything in BC2 was designed around Rush so Conquest was bad except on the latter maps. Same for BF1, all the launch maps were bad for Conquest but great in Operations.

Didn't know EA was to blame for post-bf2.

Just like every other nu-Battlefield game by allowing you to spawn wherever you want turning every corner of the map in to a game of Call of Duty with not battlefield frontlines.

They are definitely getting a little crazy with the game modes. Too many gimmick modes. A core selection of game modes at launch, and if the playerbase stays/grows, then do gimmick modes. Hell, rotate modes in and out to keep them feeling fresh instead of play for a day and stop forever.

DICE needs to tone down a little the "arcadey" gameplay

BC2 was shit at the time, aged like shit as well and set the precedent for the dumbed down gameplay and teamwork mechanics we've seen ever since. The only thing it improved compared to older titles was the gunplay, and BF3 and 4's were better.

The major problem with BF2 was how it handled combat while walking.

I don't think suppression has always fucked accuracy like that. In BF1 its also the random bullet deviation they decided to have. Its okay for the MP18 to fucking be a hipfire god but my medic weapons have to randomly go all over the place.

3D spotting is unfortunately a mainstay now. People need crutches for some reason. It blows my mind too since casuals are playing PUBG/Fortnite that have much bigger maps and don't need 3D spotting wallhack bullshit.
