vIt's neat. There are places where I live that are entirely inaccessible aswell and I don't care about that either.

SURF you stupid fuck

I like them, it adds a sense of mystery as to if there's something cool hidden there, and compels you to find a way to enter anyway, like the Sword of Fury in Tibia

Well... I paid for it.

I should be able to do more than look at it.

>surf through the trees

its good to have some mystery in games

I use to explore in WoW years ago when you could clip through walls and wallclimb (and flying mount cancer was introduced). Getting into incomplete areas makes me really uneasy.

...

I like that kind of mystery in games. I love to wonder about that kind of stuff.

On a private RO server with a warp command, I used to warp around with a friend into random maps (some of them being unreachable otherwise). I remember finding a GM item sold at a shop, it probably replaced something else in the database. I bought 20 of them for 10z each and resold them for 2bil. I got banned temporarily after selling 3, but I still got to keep the money. I remember we were both laughing our asses off.

I miss you Nate.

...

I think the game should make it clear if I can never go there or if I just need a new item/upgrade first.

Fucking boggled me how BotW had a named area on the map (Mount Agaat) that you can't access

Literally what is the point?

>not using levels of autism considered dangerous in humans to access in the inaccessible
git gud

youtube.com/watch?v=06y2_ql0iD8

>I think the game should make it clear if I can never go there
How do you do that?

>noclip to inaccessible area
>there's a note there telling you off

Name six games that do this.

>2b
>billion
You played on a faggot server, son.

>yfw publishers start offering you access as a microtransaction

vital part of the scenery, actually makes you feel like you're in an actual world rather than a linear corridor of gameplay features

It was a high rate server, XileRO. It was fun enough, but I still played lower rate servers mainly.

I forgot how bad the aliasing was in Halo games.

>get CE edition
>wow it's fukcing nothing

Cant you enter the pond if you go up the road there? Then you can surf down to that area?

They all feel like a massive cock block.

There's a whole fuckton of Garry's Mod maps that do that, although, I can't think of any real games that do that.

Only in HGSS

Vanilla/TBC WoW had some hidden messages, like something under Karazhan if I remember right.

I remember seeing shitty rumors that you could play as this specific thwomp and strangely enough, all of them involved you somehow accessing his confinement.

Through the trees?

There's a couple GTA games that do it. Areas where if you get into them there's a note telling you off for cheating because there's no other way in.

I loved that shit when I was a kid my imagination would run wild with what could lay beyond but I'm pretty indifferent nowadays. Being an adult is suffering.

>what do you think of scenery

It's fine. Better if it's made clear that it's inaccessible without a glitch/cheat if it is though so you don't waste time trying to get there or be disappointed once you finally figure it out.

well you have to break him free with 4 power stars. in other words, you need 4 human players to touch his prison door and active their stars at the same time. you cant play as him though

Pretty sure you can get there further up the road or something by walking behind a building, but I haven't touched the game since the days the GBA was new

...

>tfw the feeling of discovery or open-world makes want to shit
>in games and IRL

>He doesn't know

...

no you cant, im curious though if any catchable pokemon were put in the water though

>I forgot how bad the aliasing was on Xbox 360

You don't need to cheat to get to this message

>the same vista in Ringed City would be completely inaccessible
>you can only access the first area and the imperfect swamp before being railroaded to the bosses

Fuck A-team.

That was for a Stop and Swap egg. Nothing in there but a switch to open a sarcophagus with the egg inside.

isnt there a mission with suicide bombers inside that enclosure ?

You cheeky shit.

No, but it's nearby

Reminds me to all the rumors of what the grass around pallet town had. Didn't help that the Pokegod rumors were around the same time and usually got wrapped up in it. That and shit involving the S.S. Anne

It was a smiley face under Kara.

hyjal had a whole bunch of stuff, including a big archimonde body

my roommate used to prank each other when we'd go AFK and jump the others toon into hyjal and bank their hearthstone

I have to wonder how almost every elementary school had the same rumors about Mew under the truck and Mewthree or whatever.

fucking LOLd

As a kid they used to freak me out, but I guess that’s a good thing. Being able to access every single part of the game ruins the mystery.

>There are places where I live that are entirely inaccessible aswell and I don't care

Are you sure you don't care? Apathy and denial feel like the same thing. One turns into crushing regret though...

you can just jump up here

Is this the worst Duke expansion or THE worst?

you talk to your cousins who go to different schools and they talk to their friends who talk to their cousins and so forth

also the internet was a thing, we had it and i remember looking up all kinds of crazy rumours and cheats for pokemon red

>Get the secret Pokemon Pikablu
>going to the power plant to kill 5 voltorbs and then finding the hidden switch in the wall which resets to a different place every time you encounter a new pokemon.

Children are jerks.

...

I was wondering about this place last time I played

why this game looks so comfy even today, makes me want to grab a GBC and complete it again since like 2005

isnt that almost literally what you have to do to get a Feebas in ORAS?

I spent hours trying to reach it back in the day but it's impossible, even with the Golden Scale.

>it actually is accessible through a series of glitch jumps

It's actually the best one.

Well.. I give up.

Getting here and the caverns of time were a blast. I might be wrong, but wasn't there another spot for hyjal too?

i was pissed you cant get into the church

I guess "upper right" mean a different thing in Australia

>Go somewhere you're not supposed to

>CSR flips out and threatens to ban you

runescape

Not like you saw much from Anor Londo either.

in RSE it's a nightmare. 7 tiles that could be anywhere within three routes. worth it though, milotic is bae. ORAS dumbed it down by having one spot near a rock where there is always a feebas.

>tfw spent countless hours roaming through hyrule field searching for that piece of shit triangle
>that kid that told me there was another temple behind the Temple of Time
>that kid that told me that the triforce was in a secret hole in the ground
>that kid that told me that there was a passage somewhere in gerudo valley
>that time i read a shitty magazine saying there was a quest as adult Link that was finding Impa's white horse
All those moments...lost in time....

Got into this thread expecting a lot of people complaining about Silent Hill, and no one has, I'm disappointed.
Anyway, freaking Silent Hill is the definition of this. Fuck, that game gave me anxiety because of that. You mean to tell me there are 2000 doors and there are only 5 doors available to the player? For what purpose other than confuse you?
My characters a crowbars, guns, shotguns, why the fuck can't he just shoot or break-open those doors?

CHEAT A DESERT DOOR OPENS WIDE ANCIENT SECRETS WAIT INSIDE

Except that pond is accessible through the northern route

undertale has some cool ones
also yume nikki has a big portion of fc world cut off

What

is it possible to play pokemon at 16k resolution? i mean something like 4x4 monitors or so

>8bit/16 bit game on 4kx4k monitors
For what fucking purpose other than showing off? What benefit would you get from playing pokemon at 4 times 4k

It's where the Unicorn Fountain is, you need to get the iron boots early to get there. Not sure why people still think it's a mystery.

Wasn't that supposed to be a feature combined with Tooie but they dropped it?
Didn't they put it in the XBL versions though?

ya you could climb on top of mount hyjal through winterspring, then slowfall off and get to thousand needles and sometimes land on the pillars there. There wasnt much there though, it was basically just an empty hilled area with trees

>game developers add other shit in the distance that isn't part of the hallway
>don't let you access it
haha ebin

...

RSE's version wasn't as bad as Diamond/Pearl
In RSE those tiles are set and will stay like that for the entire game.
In Diamond and Pearl those tiles were randomly reset each day so you had to keep fishing until you found one of the tiles and you couldn't stop until you found it unless you wanted to waste all of your time spent that day

yes. but most people didnt know when the n64 game first came out. idk when the codes were revealed

Is that true? If I'm not mistaken I got a feebas without even trying. I dumpstered him in a box though.
Maybe they changed it in Platinum and it was in that version

Encounters are done on a per tile type per map basis. So if it counts as Cherrywood City, then the encounters in that water are the same as in the water by the town.

THIS IS BULLSHET! I PAID FOR THIS FUCKING GAME SO I CAN DO WHATEVER THE FUCK I WANT! CUNT! SHIT! FUCKING FAGGOT!!

that one faggot kid that we all knew who's dad or uncle worked at nintendo told me that was the only place you could find a politoed. Fuck him

Guys, in going to create a TV Tropes entry, do you think you can tell me information about the areas listed here and/or other areas?

you got some details wrong.
RSE's tiles reset every time the trendy phrase changes. the reason DPPt is harder is because there are even less possible tiles to fish from (only 4 iirc).

That's pikablu pond retard

>the same vista in Anor Londo would be completely inaccessible
>you can only access the first area and two dead-ends before being railroaded to the bosses

Fuck A-team.

I found mine in Diamond rather quickly, but never had it in Sapphire, and I sure as shit tried. Fished for weeks, must have killed 10 AAs.

>gsc
>pikablu

>spoiler
was reading it the other day an unironically great source of information and probably the best there is of its kind.
