Someone explain to a brainlet like me what the point of this was. He killed everyone, basically turned every area into an empty abyss and then murders a little boy. Why?

The game doesn't have a defined explanation. I thought it represented an overdrugged kid on life support's memories or something since there's a brain scan image in the background of most battles, and the Batter was like the mercy killing drug. Everyone and everything else was just warped thinking and memories of people he knew. I assumed Dedan was the doctor, Enoch was the dad or a friend of the kids dad or something, and the cat was his pet.I assume the strange elements and the whole sugar thing was related to a kids limited view of the world.

I think that the game represents a man deciding to turn off the life support for his sick child who lives in hospital and forcing everyone else to accept his decision.
The three bosses are people or things Hugo is familiar with at the hospital, Dedan and Enoch are either patients or staff and Japhet is a bird that Hugo would often see outside.

Dedan and Enoch are nice to Hugo as we see in The Room, but from Battler's perspective they're evil and rude because they disagree with his intentions. I think they see the Batter as being unkind to his son when he comes to visits and speak up about it, and their battles represents him putting them in their place as the boys father.

Pablo is the head doctor and the Queen is Hugo's mother who the Battler ultimately convinces or otherwise forces into accord with his plan to turn off the life support for Hugo.

The elements in the game are quite clinical and seem to belong in a hospital.

Enoch is living hedonistically and not trying to survive. I don’t really remember Japheth though; wasn’t he related to denial and forgetting about the situation? And of course, the Queen and the cat’s position is that life itself is sacred, no matter how fucked.

Thus, Battler is the opposite, destroying these arguments because such a life idn’t worth living.
