Is potion maker finally dead? We havent gotten updates in a long time.

I hope not! It actually just updated tonight, but there doesn't seem to be a new event yet. I'm going to hope it's just starting tomorrow. The event schedule has been a bit awkward for the past few months, usually they'd come out at the start of the month/15th of the month, but it's been a few days earlier or later since the updates haven't been too punctual. I assumed they were just skipping a couple of weeks to get back on track. But if it goes on for much longer without an event, maybe I will start to worry...

Okay i checked the store. Maybe it was because it was a short month? I havent played in Feb before.

That is possible, now that you mention it.

>discount Touhou characters
no thanks.

I've never heard of Potion Maker getting compared to Touhou.

Man they better not just vomit out another 30 Quests event, I fucking hate those.
I've stopped bothering for a lot of them if it's a 30 Quest one.

Yeah, those are probably the most common types of events. They're okay. I kind of like those "1000 items in the materials" events, it keeps me playing so I can spend a little time grinding NPC experience. I think my least favorite are the potion-sorting mini game events.

Waht are some games where you can brew potions?

I've only seen a single one of those, but the point gain is so low that I have to agree there
I just really don't want another 30 quest one, I don't wake up in the dead of night just to keep setting the ongoing quest meter.

That can be a pain, but I think it should be lenient enough that you can just wait until the morning, or do it before bed and then when you wake up, and still manage to hit the 30 quota.

Not in my experience, although for some reason the app no longer displays notifications despite them being set to "On."
Eh. I want the little bag event back, even though that's usually only for the Chuseok events.

I need some help in getting this game going at the start. I've only got just over 1k gold and nothing seems to give me any decent cash outputs. It's extremely slow going getting to the next upgrade.

Would this happen to still be available?

Stock up on shields and 2x bonuses from doing quests, make sure to spend some time adding bonus ingredients to the potion and then enhance all potions to full.
At the end of the day, the game is a little grindy. You need to either accept the grind or give up.

If you do multiple quests at once, the notification will only show up when the first one finishes, until you claim the rewards. Maybe that might be why it won't show up sometimes.

Spend some time making potions that NPCs ask for, particularly the ones that will give you potion failure protections (the little shield items). After you get some (maybe go for 10 or 15, you gain 5 per completed request that rewards them), make a potion and pump up the value with ingredients for a bit, then enhance it to max value before you sell it. In early game, I believe red potions give you the best payout for your time once you enhance them.

In the start, focus on Red potions. They give good money to begin with and the rates aren't as unreasonable as later on.
Midway, Blue potions are more consistent, and if you're running low on shields, generally more productive than Red.
At the "endgame," the Yellow Potions finally pull their weight, with the yellow Lucifer's Tear being the best regular potion in the game afaik.

>yellow Lucifer's Tear being the best regular potion in the game afaik.
I believe so, yes. I get way more out of making Yellow Essence of Pride than Red.

Ah yes, same here. When I do the "Collect 1000 materials" or those summon a shitload of Pushcat quests, I always set those as the base potion.

>Expected some cool potion brewing game
>It's just another clicker where the first ingredient decides the potion and everything else just increases the worth
The search continues.

I have no idea. I saved the image a while ago, I've never actually seen the items on sale anywhere.

When I sold that potion, I was afraid of what might happen to the total coin counter. Apparently it just trails off and doesn't show the end of the number once you're past the amount that can be displayed in the space. It seems pointless to keep making potions past this point, since the numbers will probably just keep falling off from this point on. But, I suppose it was pointless to begin with once I got all the upgrades.

Yeah I just assumed it would be like that, given how the numbers go on the achievement table.
I kind of just stopped with the potions and began leveling Fairies.
They need to bring in the contests thing.

>haven't played Potion Maker in years
Should I even redownload?

Nah, unless you got nothing better to play on your phone.

meh

If you feel like a quick facepat for the loli or her friend then sure, but otherwise there's not much to it.

Shouldn't there be a new event yet?
I thought they were trying to unfuck the event schedule from November.

>used to play pretend being a witch as a kid and making potions
>see people talking about potion maker
>get hype and download thinking you get to choose ingredients and your picks having an effect or something
>nope, it's just mindless clicking to raise price, only first pick matters

Sorry. Surely there must be a game out there somewhere better suited to that sort of thing, though.

I wish I could play that

Bump because I rarely ever see this.

Potion Maker threads seem very rare indeed.

...

>this outfit is a constantly available outfit you get for playing
bless this artist who made the clothes for this game

Was there a minigame like that in that game?

Yes.
Not like there's much to talk about, but eh, if it's there, I'll take it.
No one ever replies to my Shining Force threads so I know the feeling.

I've never played this game but do you guys seriously have like hundred quintilion gold?

How do you play this game for long at all? I can understand the appeal of idle games, but this game isn't even an idle game, even with pushcats. Surely you can't just be tapping the tiny little bar at the top of the screen for hours or something.

I only really "play" when there's an even going on an that'll maybe be 5 minutes in an entire day. Pushcats do most of the legwork and you get ticket that appears when you start up the game in the materials section.

It's not like you tap that many times. There are auto-items and multipliers, but yes the main content stops around 1 quadrillion or something.
