H-Hey, remember me...? Wasn't I the triumphant comeback everyone wanted? W-Way better than that shitty f-f-fan remake...!
H-Hey, remember me...? Wasn't I the triumphant comeback everyone wanted? W-Way better than that shitty f-f-fan remake...
i liked it. faggot
Yep, it was pretty good. What are you getting at?
is this revisionist history?
>Finally got a game
>No one buys it
Fucking metroidfags
Yes. You were a critical and commercial success and Nintendo is excited about the series again. You did your job.
Fun fact: Am2r sound like amère, which is french for bitter
And they wonder why FZero and Star Fox are on hiatus
I liked both. Fight me faggot.
That game was awful.
Yes, it was great.
Yeah removie your falsflaggind stuttering and I agree
This game was much better then AMR2 with its awful metroid fights and zero puzzles and everyone is hyped for MP4
I just want Evil Chozo in the Fusion sequel. All you guys know it's happening.
No, you were just a return to form, you weren't Metroid 5, the 2D series actual return.
Aside from a few "muh story" fags, everyone liked Samus Returns and Nintendo was pleased enough with the sales to start working on Metroid 5.
It actually sold pretty well
>believing shitposters on Sup Forums
pathetic
the game sold more than FE:A did
I hope it gets announced next year along with a smaller Switch model.
I do, and you were, and you are. What's the issue?
This, feels good, baby.
wasn't "legendary" or scary enough
While I wasn't a fan of the melee combat system, I enjoyed the fuck out of Samus Returns and would be OK with MercurySteam doing a new 2.5 D metroid on the Switch.
It's been half a year since release negro, we've talked it to death and moved on, it's a great game, but at the end of the day was still just a remake
Now it's just waiting for Prime 4
I wonder how fat and ugly he is with an avatar as idealized as that
Haven't played it as much as AM2R, but so far the scanning and counters i can do without.
So is Prime now just referring to the first person perspective? Because there is no way to make another Metroid Prime after Phaaze was destroyed.
my only complaint is the nerfed screw attack
You a fishing no one, faggot
>wanting constant discussions over franchise
that's why Star Wars is collapsing
just imagine a pasty looking white kid but with an attempt to have Dante hair
he wants to be Dante very badly
Amdeuxr
We've already had a Prime game without Phazon/Dark Samus
It's a spin off of a spinoff but I get what you mean.
Decent but the bosses got so boring I just quit playing.
They'll find a way
For all we know it could just be the working title and they'll give it a new one closer to release, like with Luigi's Mansion 2
so instead of Metroid Prime 4 it will be Metroid: Dark [something]?
Reminder that Prime 4 already exists
youtube.com
We honestly could
DUDE RIDLEY LMAO
REMEMBER SUPER METROID???
It was hype as all get-out
Well, at least Sylux is pretty much confirmed. Still, I want to see other hunters in action, I didn't mind the others in Prime 3 and Hunters
Ridley is cool, fuck you
I love that he never actually says a word in games, yet still speaks volumes with his presence
of course Nintendolts are satisfied fighting the same boss for 30 years
also see zelda, mario, kirby, starfox, ....
Nintendo = creatively bankrupt
What's wrong with having a re-occurring antagonist?
>what's wrong with playing the same game over and over and over and over and
It was okay, not the major return to the legacy of Metroid I was expecting but still decent.
Yeah it was really fucking stupid to bring him back again in a game he didn't belong.
Name me one series with no returning antagonists.
Final Fantasy
>no one buying Star Fox is why it's on hiatus
considering the last release
good
Bahamut
The shitty aiming ruined the game for me.
nier
>b-b-b-but that doesn't count!
only nintendo has the gall to release the same game annually for 20+ years because they know their fans are the only ones retarded enough to buy it
It only sold more than Shadows of Valentia.
Awakening sold like 2 millions.
One Punch Man
>Not a Super Metroid remake
Fucking wasted potential, why remake the black sheep of the franchise instead of the beloved classic?
i couldn't get used to the fucking counter thing
why add it in? all i fucking wanted was a better looking ZERO MISSION VERSION of fucking Metroid 2! ASSHOLES!
First few bits was boring as fuck, and easy as fuck. Same scenarios, same bosses. But the game picked up the pace quite a lot at the end with interesting fights and enviroments. I guess having to stick with the original hurt a bit.
>Star Fox
>on hiatus
Nigga Zero just came out two years ago, and 2 got rereleased. There is pretty obviously a new SF in development.
You fags REALLY need to stop pretending that Zero was a bad game that killed the franchise.
>why remake the black sheep of the franchise
To improve on it?
>the game sold more than FE:A did
You don't have a single face to back that up
But it wasnt improved upon?
But it was?
star fox zero is unironically the worst 1st party nintendo game ever released
>Remake a game people generally don't care for.
>They can make improvements to things people didn't like, like pic related
>Remake a game considered one of the best games ever.
>They're likely to fuck it up, with a small handful of exceptions like REmake.
People that want remakes of already good games are idiots.
No one is pretending, the game is legit garbage.
>Bahamut
>An antagonist
Dragon Quest
You're a fucking liar. It didn't even outsell Echoes.
You got me there. Still, a majority of video game series, nintendo or not, have re-occurring antagonists.
It really wasnt though?
Speed of Sound Sonic
>200k sold
All that fan bitching for years and THIS is the amount of copies a 2D Metroid sells?
>Devs wanted to make a traditional SF game
>Miyamoto insisted on gimmicks
I wish he'd retire already.
>Wasn't I the triumphant comeback everyone wanted?
After Other M and Fed Force, yes. Samus Returns was a pleasant surprise. If you're wondering why it didn't make that big of a splash, it's because most Nintendo "fans" have shit taste and rarely play anything that doesn't have Mario, Zelda, or Pokemon in the title.
>Remaking a good game over remaking a bad game
No, you retard. The former just splits fanbases and creates retarded discussions about which is better or worse, when both usually have improvements and worse aspects, which at that point it boils down to the moral debate of original team vs new team or original director vs new director, which is always also a retarded debate because the originals made the game from scratch and the new team made the game from the old game. This can also either be a good or bad thing.
Meanwhile, remake a bad game into a good game, you just made a new good game out of the potential of the original. See la-mulana vs la-mulana remake or REmake.
>vgshartz
>credible
are you colorblind?
>tripfag
>thinking his opinion matters
Yes it did.
I don't want to buy the same game I played 27 years ago while still being worse than the remake that came out 2 years ago
Maybe instead of shitting out remasters and re-releases, they could spend their time on some new content that I actually will spend money on
No it didn't. I explained this to you before. Samus Returns barely outsold Echoes in the US and it got stomped everywhere else in the world.
> the same game
If nintendo released the same game repeatedly, nobody would be fucking buying it. Case in point: The sales figures of NSMBU. Even for a Wii U title they were fucking nonexistent. Nintendo fans get tired of rehashes; it's why they don't have many shooters too.
Nigga, Nintendo themselves said the game performed well.
Not in the US,worldwide.
> Nintendo said a game did well, so it did well!!
I like Nintendo and I don't think you could possibly be any more pants-on-head retarded right now.
And?
Give me one source.
When a game underperforms, they admit it. Just like they did for Other M and Federation Force.
It controlled like shit.
Give me yours.
Yes I remember you, I fought the diggernaut again last weekend.
>Prove it
>No u
You were the one making the claim So where's the source?
I enjoyed it, but I think Samus's suit is fucking ugly in this game. It's like they listened to people bitch about Other M and just decided to make it as bulky as possible
>listened to people bitch about Other M
Not with those hips.
vgchartz.com
First week sales in the entire west: 185,228
dengekionline.com
Echoes sold 135,195 units in its first week in Japan only.
Western first week sales are estimated to be 127,551, but the source on that is VGChartz, so fuck that.
According to NPD Analyst Mat Piscatella, FE Echoes was the 7th best-selling game on the 3DS for 2017, with Samus Returns at 6th.
youtube.com
That's not me. I was trying to get shinesparkers.net to load so I could cite their article noting that Metroid barely edged out Echoes.
>vgchartz
Must we go through this charade again?
The only other sales figure floating around is Metroid's first week sales in Japan. Which were 29,761.
Are you retarded?
Most of what I posted is pure fact. Remakes of good games are almosy never worth it, just by the sheer amount of shitpost threads they create. Majora's Mask is one of the best videogames ever made and it's filled with so many things worth discussing, but MM3d threads were nothing but shitpost threads.
I would buy it if it weren't on the 3DS. I can't wait until the console dies.
But the suit looks better than the mess that was Other M.
