Takaki said there were a lot of ideas for spin offs, so after 7 they can do whatever they want. It's not hard to think of a plot post 7 that would work as a JRPG, maybe something to do with hunting yoma around Japan and other places, and have the main villains be that one actually evil team from NewWave trying to use the yomas' power for evil reasons.
Thinking about it, that sounds too nice for it to actually happen.
