Is there anything wrong with Mankind Divided? Thinking of picking it up with the DLC pass.
Is there anything wrong with Mankind Divided? Thinking of picking it up with the DLC pass
The story isn't self-contained which means some people say it's half a game even when it's about as long as HR. But yeah it ends abruptly.
Apart from that it's slightly better than HR on almost all aspects. You just need to be ok with the fact that there's only one hub though. It's a better one than those from HR but it's the same atmosphere from start to finish.
Breach mode is shit. The DLCs are meh.
I played Human Revolution a long time ago so I may remember wrong, but I think MD was shorter. However it gives you the neat upgrades very early on, especially if you invest in side missions. I remember HR had all the interesting upgrades locked at the end of a long chain. In MD if you don't care about shooting you can upgrade everything else extremely fast. The only real negative thing I can say is the final boss, you can skip it but you have to either find something very hidden early on or really easy to overlook on the last level later.
Skipping the final boss even conflicts with the full stealth/no kill play style, so if you like to play this game as a ghost you will hate it, especially if you have to go guns blazing because you didn't find the THING.
it's a very good game, get it
Just use an emp mine
It’s an extremely good game. in Human revolution sometimes the Augs felt like an after thought in the beginning of the game because u don’t get a bunch of them for awhile. Mankind divided really has some fun new augs plus u get some basic aug package pretty quick.
I really like dues ex and HR for having different environments. However I wish more gamesmanship could be like mankind divided. I the type of player that searches every dialogue piece, hack everything, and go everywhere even before a quest is initiated. Even with that the world is so dense their is srill stuff I walk past.
Plus the cover mode system is greatly improved
Not really, it's a fine game with excellent level design. Dlc is not worth it though.
mechanically better than HR but the story is boring as fuck
nope, except SQ being retards and giving us only half of the game with stupid breach mode nobody wanted
also prison DLC is pretty good
>but the story is boring as fuck
terrorism side of it it, sure
but subplots of it all are good
and deusex is all about subplots
>story is boring as fuck
not necessarily
it managed to keep me engaged until the ending hit me in the face like a truck halfway through the game
It's shorter than HR.
If you're okay with incomplete game that has great gameplay then the gai is for you
The real problem is that it ends right as things are starting to get good.
After a while I sold everything because I thought I'll never use them anyway. I had a stun pistol but that is it. Yes I know it is dumb.
>its another take away your augs prison dlc
Wasnt it really cheap to get once? Would it be worth waiting for another sale on it or can I just get it from a keysite for a few bucks? And should I buy the DLC with it?
Not counting story and length, it's a better version of Human Revolution. I had lots of fun with it, game is very dense. You should really try to play stealthy, it's pretty rewarding. Also the DLC aren't that bad. The Day 1 DLC is scummy but decent but the Arizona prison one is fucking top tier shit. Also get the stun gun as quick as you can and hack everything. Also clear out the bank, easily one of the best parts of the game
its 6 bucks right now, i think that's the cheapest its been.
it's on sale right now for $5, well worth the price
It's more of the same, except the plot is terrible (really heavy handed allegory for racism).
what thing
The guy who installed the augs for the boss kept a kill switch (actually two) to have something over the boss if he wants to get rid of him. If you find it and use it at the end he goes down in a cut scene without a fight.
Is only part 1 of a not announced duology or trilogy.
Since no one mentioned it, the game did suffer from performance issues that made it crash or run like hot ass on good systems. If no one has said anything in this thread, I assume it's gotten better since I last tried playing it, but do bother reading some recent Steam reviews or something to be sure.
Also the subplots are all properly connected with the main story
The main issue for me was that the game just stops out of nowhere right when the pacing is picking up because they chopped the game up to be pieced out.
If you liked any of the other games, get it. I had a blast playing it.
It´s a shame it didn´t get the recognition it deserved.
I played it at the beginning of this year and it ran really well at 1440p.
Got a i74790k and a GTX980Ti.
I ran it reasonably well on mid-tier settings with an i5-4670 3.9GHz and a GTX760. It didn't run perfectly but it was still leagues better optimized than Dishonored 2.
Shit, Dishonored 2 ran great for me recently so I assume MD is fixed almost completely then. My last experience resulted in crashes every 15 minutes and an eventually refund. 2 980s and an i4790k at the time.
its a good game, don't ask Sup Forums
What platform are you getting it on OP?
It improves upon Human Revolution in almost all aspects except for the story which ends abruptly. The main story is shorter than in HR but has about the same amount of content overall. Even though MD only has Prague as a hub, it is super complex and multilayered which makes it a thrill to explore.
I haven't played the DLC but I just bought the season pass and I'm currently reinstalling. Also keep in mind that MSAA is a performance killer and should be replaced with injected SMAA or TAA if you'd prefer.
No romance subplot with the best girl.
That's for the sequel
Eliza is the love interest tho
It's so obvious the ending of the trilogy (if they make a new game) is going to involve jensen trascending and becoming one with some machine ai entity, at least in one of the outcomes. The eliza romance and the fact that jensen is actually a clone so only the "personality" of jensen remains but his body is now irrelevant all point to that.
I played the original back in the day a long time ago, so i dont really remember the details about the ai entities that appear in it but probably jensen becoming one just links him to the first game somehow, just like orchid will ultimately become the black plague and samizdat becomes sillouete
She puts the naughty in the illuminaughty
>romancing Bob page's slut
OK then enjoy failing every mission.
Eliza x Jensen could become Daedelus? I suppose?
There was also some icarus in the first one right? I dont remember the specifics but the blatant icarus symbolism for adam may very well lead to that. I think is fairly obvious honestly, daedalus is icarus father anyway
So if I own the game already, but don't have the DLCs, best way to get them, i.e. cheapest, is to get the Season Pass, right?
I really enjoyed the Criminal Past DLC, quite a good challenge as long as you restricted yourself a bit. Anyone else find the game was just far too easy in general? I was mostly not killing anyone, nor using the experimental augs. I feel if I'd been going lethal with augs the game would have been a joke.
Yes, but it comes with the cheat items.
> It's shorter than HR
Yeah but no so much that it become a big flaw. It's almost the same if you explore everywhere and do everything.
That's HR without the DLC though.
It used to be unplayable for me, but i can play it with ease now. no upgrade to my machine except swapped out some bad ram i had.
Some of the city sections with the martial law enacted are pretty tricky to navigate without getting into confrontations with the cops. Much harder than the equivalent ones in HR.
I can agree with this. game is a lot of fun especially if you enjoyed HR, but yeah the story and pacing are a strange creature.
Did anyone play the Missing Link dlc for HR? I bought it on the cheap and then realized my HR disc is in storage in my shed and i'm not digging that out until the spring. Is it any good? how much content?
found it completely by accident in my original playthrough. I kinda liked how it was just casually hidden in a random briefcase in a random corner of the map (even if it doesn't make much sense) as opposed to being heavily guarded -- unless you look it up, you can only really find it by chance. Where is the 2nd one? I'm talking about the one in the guard room near the kitchen where you find Miller
That is the second one you found. The first one is in the GARM facility after you get to the second part through the ice drill holes or otherwise. There is a fairly large room with three guards and some locker rooms near the elevator. A computer one guard uses periodically has some information about the hidden killswitch near. You have to climb on the top of the lockers in the corner and there is a hidden button behind the top of the locker. If you press it a secret compartment opens in one of the lockers and there is the switch. Even with your eye aug the switch is pretty much invisible if you stand in front of the lockers, you really have to know what you are looking for if you want to find it.
The second one on the last level is kinda dumb if they really wanted to hide it, but I guess they wanted to give you a chance if you don't have the equipment to take down the boss.
How many hours of that Mankind Divided is loading screens though?
GB go home and finish making your god damn resident evil video
oh wow, that's really neat. thanks
>shoot final boss with stun gun
>takedown
Not really. Be sure to play the Criminal Past DLC, it's great
Is the cover system still in the game and is it not pure AIDS like it was in HR?
