okay but what if I'm playing with friends and the game throws me to the wrong side? You could switch to friends pretty well in bf1 but in 4 we had this problem way too often where all the others were on other team and you got suddenly autobalanced to the other and couldn't switch

Vietnam lacks variety, just like Soviet-Afghan war. That's why you see games set in Middle East in present times, which can be similar to Afghanistan, but with more equipment and liberal maps.
