but i didnt really like the other game

It's too spooky for me. Everything makes me jump and my nerves can't handle that.

The mechanics are fundamentally garbage, I didn't even bother with the DLC.

I remember playing one of them where i got a flamethrower and the game didn't let me fire it or change weapons or move. I think the save got corrupted or something and i never bothered to start over

Graphics are slightly worse (lighting). People reee autistically because the AI was improved so stealth would be viable.

Yes it's part of the game mechanics to avoid traps.
Removing traps removes all risk of getting chaught and stealth feels less rewarding since you can just turn your brain off and spam the takedown button to watch your guy doing these epic cutscene takedowns.

That's cool and makes sense though

is this actually base off one of the books or is this just the dev going beyond stated lore to milk cash?

I tried the first ans dropped the it when you got to the fire maze area with infinitely spawning enemies, was fun up to that point

in a book maybe but not in game. it's shit game design.

I'm not talking about traps, traps are great. The original 2033 was finicky with its sound propagation, even throwing a knife could alert everyone.

Ok, so you're one of those guys. I think we're done. Who the fuck uses takedowns in these games when you have a billion reusable knives, suppressors and air weapons. If you want to talk casual, talk about that.

Last Light was pure shit.

But bullets aren't currency. Only military grade, you could do the whole game without ever needing one.

I've played Last Light and was completely bored by the handholding and the annoying "partner" that keeps telling you what to do. And the fucking "stealth" segment in the beginning.

Been meaning to for years. Shooters are not typically my thing, but I've heard good things about the series.

See in Redux and LL those are penetrating even steel plareted amor while in original 2033 they bounce off amored spots, that's why you obviously will use nothing else.

The reason I hate it is they ruined the atmosphere.. instead of keeping creepy sounds and having artyoms desperate voice.. they added rock music to certain segments(?) and a new voice that sounds way too hard to sound russian.

The game is balanced around the fact that you are only using surplus rounds. I never used military grade rounds until the last section where you can't use them in shops anymore and they literally throw them at you.

Didn't care for the first one. I loved STALKER and thought it'd be the same, but it played like a rail shooter at times
