This. I grew up with the N64, but all of its games aside from SM64, OoT, and MM were mediocre. Also, Rare's games were never great.

Conker was Rare's second worst game behind DK64. It was a game that had no idea what it wanted to be. There was platforming, but at the same time there were many other gameplay styles shoehorned in like third-person shooting and stealth. The awful story and excessive toilet humor didn't help either.

This thing will be a massive rip off because I see Nintendo only adding like 8 games max and charging $80.

N64 classic is instantly hurt by the lineup not including anything with the rare name, unless Nintendo can work something out with Microsoft.

The Pokemon/Mario/Zelda lineup would be a given. From there you'd be looking for a few other classics like some of the Star Wars games (if disney would play ball) maybe Mischief Makers, etc.

Oh. And the controls in Conker were very clunky as well. It's the kind of game that is fun to play with a friend when you're drunk, but it's worthless beyond that.

Except you missed the point of Conker enterely. Conker was the Battletoads of it's time: it's presented as a generic collectathon but then forgets about it. That's why Conker has a chapter select option, to play the parts you actually like without replaying the game enterely.

Almost all genres are represented with these games and there's something for everyone. From lesser known, longer classics like Ogre Battle 64 to puzzle games like Puzzle League and 2D platformers like Mischief Makers. Mario Golf could be interchangeable with Mario Tennis and the only reason I added the mediocre Kirby game is because it's a given that Nintendo will add a Kirby game and that's the only Kirby game on the 64.

I seriously hope they don't waste spots for thps. Don't get me wrong, they're both fantastic games, and some of my favorite of all time... That being said, n64 just isn't the definitive version if you want thps. You're missing out on 75% of audio, all videos, and I want to say some extra characters and levels.
PS1 and dreamcast versions are much better, and ps1 is extremely cheap, dc could even be considered almost free.
