it's fun
BASED Nickies
By Azura! By Azura! By Azura! It’s the Grand Champion! I can’t believe it’s you! Standing here, next to me!
Potato face
Best faction and side quests so far bar none.
I'd say so. If you mod it and shit on pc it looks not bad too. I hope that skyblivion mod works well. I don't like Skyrim much, but oblivion has such a great story, great characters, etc
Why haven't I replayed you?
Because your gameplay hasn't held up all that well and your leveling cap makes things un-fun.
Listen, though:
It really isn't you, Oblivion. It's me.
I can sit here and say "You sucked" all night long, but we both remember how many hours I spent playing you through.
Your combat was slower and clunky, yes, but it fucking tried. Step sideways while swinging to attempt a disarming strike, and step forwards to paralyze? That shit was awesome for 2006! And having different skills for the different kinds of weapons and armors rewarded players for following through with their chosen playstyle, instead of giving them the pussified modern option to become an unfairly-overpowered Master of All.
Your characters were pretty ugly, and you didn't have too many voice-actors, but the sheer volume of dialogue you included and the awesome NPC routines you had showed that you wanted to feel like a real world, and when I was younger with more time on my hands you totally did.
Probably my favorite thing about you, though, was the fantastically charming writing behind your sidequests.
Choose to spend five gold to sleep on a docked-boat Inn by the harbor?
Welp, your Inn was hijacked through the night and taken to sea! Fight your way through the brigands and regain control of the ship!
Walk up a hill only to find an abandoned village at the top?
Turns out the sorcerer down the way accidentally turned all of the villagers invisible, and you're the first person to stroll through in a week!
Decided to join up with the Dark Brotherhood?
Then have fun attending a house-party with the goal of killing the other attendees without them knowing whodunnit!
And all of these quests were given to you just by exploring the world you presented for your players.
Those three quests are just the tip of the iceberg; there are so many more quests I could talk about.
For sure best TES game. Just wish they put more effort into the face design and voice acting
Go play Witcher 3 if all you care about is graphics.
They cater to graphic whores looking for cinematic experiences.
Lord knows they don't cater to the gameplay crowd.
Oblivion with OOO is better than modded Skyrim or Morrowind.
>implying Oblivion's gameplay is better in any way
Delusional.
It fails in essentially all aspects in its design aside from general athmosphere and exploration.
It's quest have good ideas, but flat executions - lacking in choices - and are very few and far, with just a few quests per city.
It's day and night cycle adds very little to the game.
It's setting is blander and more clean that what should be for Cyrodiil.
It's combat is a trash fire.
Its' guild questlines are bad.
It's dungeons are repetive and lack purpose.
It's main story is not up to par.
It's main gimmick with oblivion portals is repetive.
But sure had potential.
most boring game ive ever played in my life
Or this gem:
Though I have all kind of gripes with Oblivion I have nothing but positive things to say about its soundtrack. Jeremy Soule's best work by far. Really puts you into the world.
Oblivion was the beginning of the end for TES series.
By virtue of having some then yes.
The best part of Witcher games can be "played" on youtube.
"Its' guild questlines are bad."
Thieves is good and Dark Brotherhood is decent. Fighters is okay to do for fun. Mages guild is quite poor.
The same can literally be said about Oblivion you idiot.
>Dark Brotherhood is decent
>not god-tier
kys
It has fantastic attention to details, so much so that most people have never found out most of them, if any.
Also I'm about to download it again and you can't stop me!
the quests are the best in the series
but the main quest of morrowind is better
Gameplay is more than just combat. Still, the combat in tw3 is an abomination and I'd unironically say unmodded oblivion's is better, when accounting for enchantments and customizable spells.
yeah, but it has so few
oblivion has 40 quests altogether outside of main campaign and guilds. That's not a lot for ten cities.
Not really.
The cutscenes are the best part of witcher.
Witcher games are Bioware tier with better graphics and worse combat.
Kingdom Come is the comfiest RPG since Oblivion.
very true
Actually, it has 54 non-guild, non-main, non-dlc, non-daedra quests.
It's true that it could have had more quests all-the-same, but for the quality of each quests (especially compared to morrowind or skyrim), I'd rather have it that way any day.
I just played this game for the first time with my little brother over his break from uni. We had so much fun. I can't relate to any of that shit you spewed
Dialogue != to cutscenes
Cutscenes are when control is completely taken away from the player and they are forced to watch something. Most of the story of the Witcher is told through dialogue exchanges where the player can make decisions about how they want to respond, just like in Oblivion.
I don't particularly like the world design and layout, but pretty much everything else is my favourite of all TES games.
Can we agree that Oblivion has the best glitches out of the whole series?
Why can't I refuse the Dark Brotherhood quest? I only got the quest because I defeated the Gray Prince.
Kill Lachance when he comes to invite you
arrow duplication glitch was my jam
>shitposting while the board is in mourning
>It's day and night cycle adds very little to the game.
what kind of fucking complaint is this you autist
Thanks
It actually does anyway, due to npc schedules and soulstones.
It's "its" when speaking possession
its guild questlines
its main story
and so on
