Any free rougelikes out there that let you explore a huge world?

Dwarf Fortress
Dwarf fortress is the best in that category
Dwarf Fortress has the absolute largest world you can explore.
Oh yeah? Well what if I want to explore this rouge world with allies?
i'm pretty sure DF adventure mode lets you pick up allies
Moraff's World.
Multiplayer roguelike? sounds weird.
Not sure if you could call it a 'huge' world but Tales of the Maj'Eyal has a decent amount of exploring.
Then you're a massive faggot.
Never heard or played MAngband with your friends?
tales of maj'eyal
Elona is big and you can have a shitload of allies if your charisma is high enough.
i remember i had a shitload of little girls following me, then they got hit by a mind breath from a hound which forced them all to kill themselves. good times
>realtime roguelike
That's not a roguelike you stupid faggot.
dwarf fortress sucks dick. get over it.
Dwarf Fortress
Also UnReal World
Tales of Maj'Eyal
Adventure mode is fun.
Elona+ is 10/10, especially because you can mod the shit out of it and recreate you're waifu from any vidya to explore the world with you.
kill yourself
Cataclysm DDA is great for that, if you don't mind zombie-based survival
Or you can buy slaves and do a mengele on them.
Or breed little girls in a ranch to sell their skin, milk and cook their meat.
Or whore yourself so hard peoples you fuck go insane.
Realm of the mad god, yeah it's pretty weird
Not a fucking roguelike.
Oh boy, I can't wait to explore these wilds! Hey look, a moos-
poschengband is fucking massive.
I'd highly recommend it if you can handle having too many options.
Judging by what OP has said, what he wants is literally Elona+
But if he can't get past the early game learning curve then he's quite outta luck besides Dwarf Foretress, except that if you are a brainlet who can't even into Elona then you'd probably wouldn't even be able to bother with DF
i've been playing Cataclysm: dark days ahead, I love it, but what other roguelikes should i play?
please don't recommend dwarf fortress no matter what i do i can't get into it, i can get into the fortress mode though.
A realtime roguelike is just every turn being on a time limit. If you don't do anything in that timeframe, everything else moves without you.
Any recommendations for Dorf Advent mode?
what do you mean? you want roguelikes like dwarf fortress adventure mode? or do you want tips for the adventure mode?
DFHack your stats so you don't have to wrestle a rabbit for 5 hours every time you start a new character and don't want to be decimated by goblins. Also use a shield.
adom.de
Not sure if the world be huge enough for you'r depraved tastes but it's worth a try.

I just found out that ADOM is also on Steam.
Dungeons of Chaos
It's free if you torrent it
special zombies on or off?
Came to post this.
ADOM is the obvious choice unless you're a faggot who can't handle ASCII
DoomRL is pretty good. Then there's the obvious core ones like Nethack/DCSS/Brogue that you should try if you haven't already. A lot of people like Elona as well though I don't think it's a roguelike in the same way the rest of these are.
Tales of Maj'Eyal
It’s not to everyone’s taste. I’m sure you would like call of duty or something.
I like UnReal World, nowhere near as much depth as dorfort of course but much more playable
Caves of Qud is god tier.
Main ones would be Tome4 and Adom. I can't really say if these are good open worlds, however, as I turn off the world map in Tome4 and dislike Adom.
Elona and CDDA both have this, but their status as 'roguelike' is pretty questionable, and CDDA is randomly genned. Elona has the only open world I actually like in the genre.
Angband and all its variants, which the above games include some of. Poschengband in particular allows you to play as an immobile ring, be picked up, possess the dumbass who picked you up then explore with him for a bit before he regains control and kills you
If you like Cata, you will almost certainly like Elona. Rogue Survivor may also be worth a try; its similar but simple.
If you want to try something acually different, it really depends on what your preference is.
Open world: Adom and Tome are currently king.
Single dungeon, with tiles: DCSS
Single dungeon, no tiles: DCSS and SIl
Those are what I'd rec, the rest tend to be either A: Paid and not worth bothering with until you've tried all the free options or B: Incredibly tedious to navigate
>play as an immobile ring
explain
/rgl/ has a pretty comprehensive description of all the weird as fuck classes in its pastebin, but for this one its just as it sounds. You spawn in within the basic dungeon as a ring with your only technique being 'glimmer' or simply waiting (glimmer just attracts hosts to speed it up). Once some dumbass grabs you, you claim them as a mount and play as them.
>special zombies
if you mean the weird zombies like shock zombies and acid zombies, then yes, however i find the game much more enjoyable when the enemies move at 50% speed and only do 50% damage.
I'm playing Elona+ right now, i gotta learn the controls but im liking it.
also why are you allowed to have a little girl as a pet?
Same reason you can have gods or grown ups or anything else as pets: Fun. /jp/ has an elona thread, probably the best general on Sup Forums.
stop saying rougelike, faggot
