I don't think so. Like it's cool hearing the beta instruments, but I wouldn't call it better in the slightest.

I was super assblasted over the Jack the Ripper voice in the trailer because it sounded way too edgelord for Raiden.

But in context the entire point is that it is edgey, so everything went better than expected.

The release version is literally the exact same thing with a bunch of terrible Electronic wubs dubbed over it completely destroying the rhythm though.

But nothing a random user could possibly think of is more interesting than what MGR already does: Sam was exactly like Raiden, but gave up when he lost to Armstrong. Sam didn't much care for Raiden since Raiden was living a lie. He preferred to toy with him. Once Raiden accepted who he was, and actually takes down most of Desperado, Sam gives it a shot and dies. It's a good setup with a good payoff. Sam, for all his charisma, gave up where Raiden didn't. It adds more flavor to Raiden as a person, Sam as a person, all adding to the richness of the game.

If there were humans capable of doing this sort of shit, how come they didn't show up in previous games? I mean, if guys like Sam were around, it's hard to imagine that Big Boss and Snake could have been considered the greatest soldiers of the 20th and 21st centuries.

But you did, if you believe the 4th game that Vamp's only augments were to stop his super cancer from spreading. The guy could run straight up towers, across water, and stitch your shadow as a regular human being.

Vamp didn't have cancer, that was Naomi. Most of Vamp's abilities were due to technology, but his superhuman healing factor was the real deal. Nanomachines only augmented it. So the fact that he went toe-to-toe with Raiden is pretty impressive.

What's even more impressive was that Snake was able to CQC him to submission as a biologically 80-year-old man. CQC must really be something else.

Gray Fox and Olga are wearing exoskeletons/armor suits. Sam has one, too.

Vamp doesn't have any enhancements built into his body, aside from the arm, but he still does have a cybernetic exoskeleton along the lines of Olga's, with another decade of advancement behind it.

Gameplay and story segregation. Any being that can deflect bullets with a sword has no reason to be hit by a punch.

Crits for days, Big single-target damage against females (majority of servants), Enemy Buff Deleter, Low CD heals, I grailed mine straight to 100.

Even pre-mod Raiden can deflect bullets with a sword, though.

Kojima is a shit writer. He's a competent director, but a terrible writer. He's the M. Night Shyamylan of video games.

The Vocal Cord Parasite is just a shitty tool to work in his whole theme of Language/culture being a major dividing force on society, and one of the biggest catalyst of conflict. It's dumb, but it's somewhat justifiable.

The bullshit thing is the other, non-descript parasites that allows Quiet and the Skulls unit to do their shit, and retroactively explain how the Cobra unit does all their fucked up shit.
