Bloodborne is a good game but the blood vials fucking suck. It’s not challenging or hard to collect them, it’s just tedious and fucking boring.
Farming for blood vials
>tfw never had to farm vials once because I'm not a complete retard and I know you can buy them from the bath messengers with spare echoes
You are right.
I usually go to the Forbidden Woods to farm them. I get roughly 15k souls + bonus drops within 80 seconds there.
You still need the echos.
For me it takes the game from a 10/10 to an 8-8.5/10. It’s just to much work. If they make a sequel, I hope the blood vials are an upgrade type system where every time you die you start with a certain amount, and as you get stronger you respawn with more.
just buy them you don't have to level up all the time
If you need to farm blood vials it's because you fucking suck. I platinum'd the game without farming for blood vials once. That's including the beginning before I knew anything.
>tfw I have a life and don’t have time to be an autist and ‘git good’ at a vidya game
Then why are you bitching if it doesn't matter?
>Early game
Yarnham, Cathedral Ward, Old Yarnham
Just run through all three areas, boss to boss, and you'll have a good number.
The game gives you so many at the start areas. Plus bath messengers sell them. Add onto that, just being aggressive heaps you. I feel like maybe you farm once or twice if you’re really absolutely stuck on a boss.
have you considered not using vials at all? I finished my first playthrough just using the vials I found, not because I was super good but just because I felt it was annoying to farm for it, so I started to manage my vials betters, much like you would do in Dark Souls when you don't have estus upgrades.
If you need to 20 vials at all times, that's on you.
It's also a good idea to go into a new boss fight you've never faced before without ever using any blood vials and simply sacrificing yourself as many times as it takes for you to get comfortable with the boss's behavior.
Blood vial farming is a non issue in the main game unless you're really bad, but holy FUCK it makes the already mediocre chalice dungeons 100% unplayable. Chalice enemies rarely drop blood vials and going into a chalice boss with anything less than 15 vials is a death sentence. So every 5 attempts you have to run back to some early game zone and farm for 15 minutes just to get 5 more attempts at the chalice boss. Fucking horrendous. Chalice dungeons are the worst content in all 5 Souls games.
I agree. The balance is fucked, either you do well and never ever have to worry about them, or get stuck and are forced to grind. There's no middle ground. Estus is pretty much an objectively better system. There's a reason they did away with grass, it's baffling that they brought it back.
Just kill a few of those big pigs and buy a shit ton.
>tfw never had to farm vials once beacause I'm so gud in the souls games and I don't die easily
I didn't have any trouble with them.
This, never really got the complaint about them, although I guess I would be annoyed if I had to farm them. Why don't people just buy them though?
That's what the coldblood dew and similar items are for, unless you're a complete moron and use all of your echos on leveling and even go as far to use the echos you get from coldblood items to level as well, I can't see why you can't afford them. Do you just die a lot and loose your echos? I can see that being an issue, but that's what the items are for...
Sometimes From makes me think of GameFreak the way they intentionally take steps backward. I don't understand why they do it.
>still farming vials directly when you're doing late chalice dungeons
Every enemy you kill in there gives you +10k echoes so you can buy a hundred vials by killing like three things.
They should've just stuck to what Dark Souls did you're right. It was stupid in Demon's Souls, it was stupid in Dark Souls II and it was stupid in Bloodborne. I forgot how Dark Souls III handled it, but that game was a cake walk so who cares.
because estus became obnoxious as shit in DaS3 with the imbalance between invader and host healing,
BB was made before DaS3 friend.
Yeah its so great when the host can heal but the invader can't lol :^)
>people complaining about the grind for blood vials
>not the grind for blood gems
You fags have seen nothing yet.
>you have five estus and the areas are balanced so that you can make it to the next bonfire with just those
>if you're having trouble, you can sacrifice a rare resource to make things easier by having an additional five estus
It was so fucking perfect. I think some of the bonfires were a bit too close together, but it certainly handled it the best out of all of the souls games and it's inter-connective level design excuses that oversight. I just want that system to return, with check points only after each boss. Optional bosses are placed at the halfway point of each level and can be killed to unlock a second check point in that zone.
>what are micircles
>what are lloyd's talismans
>what is humanity
Did you even try the PvP in the first game? You can't honestly prefer the Dark Souls III system where online invasions drag on forever because whoever is on lower health just rolls away and heals. It's less of a dual and more of a long-term battle in that game, which personally I'm not into. Being able to fast roll with such a high equip burden was retarded and for some reason I'd find that killing blows on either myself or the enemies online in that game would set us to near 1HP but not kill us, not sure if that was a glitch or feature, but I had that happen a stupid amount of times where one of us should have died but neither did. That all being said, my post wasn't even about PvP, it was agreeing with that other user about how healing items are replenished in the first Dark Souls is much better than it was in the other games.
DAMN THOSE FUCKING BLOOD GEMS
I GAVE UP I CAN'T DO IT ANYMORE I DON'T WANT TO BE THE STRONGEST IN JAPAN ANYMORE.
How many days did it take?
>farming for blood vials
Unless you're chugging them like a retard, you shouldn't be running out of them in the first place.
>10 day meme
Not everyone has 10 days to just play vidya, I play on weekends, not on weekdays user. I have a job.
Chalice Dungeons were a shit part of the game.
Don't even bother OP, these people can't accept that blood vials are an obvious flaw in the game, so you'll get laughed and told to git gud
>farming for blood vials
Its a bit hard to accept a claim that comes from bad players.
>tfw trying to get perfect arcane triangles
And? You get the naturally from progressing...fucking pleb
I went in blind and platinumed Bloodborne in 10 days. If you were so bad at at a game this casual, that you had to take extra time farming up vials OP, I can only pity you.
