It hasn't been delayed, because no deadlines have ever been set publicly.
And I am certainly happy that they post these blog updates, rather than the months of silence we had before.
I don't understand people who are nasty about the updates, we are being shown that work is done, and drip fed about the game's features. This is an objective improvement over the previous strategy of not saying anything and then showing off some version of the game in a gamescon once per year.

Fire&Sword has fire, meaning guns. With guns on the battlefield, it is possible for the player character to die at any point in time by being shot. You can't really defend yourself from being shot, which makes it less enjoyable for me.

It's probably taking so long because they can't release Turkish military secrets and are working around that.

They outright stated late 2016 and 2017 that the game would be released in either a beta format or an early access version late 2017.
And apparently even before that they had stated that they would release it in 2016, but I started following the news from 2016 onwards.

They said it would be on Steam by then, and it was in fact on Steam. Its just locked and only devs can play it. If you look at people online, they occasionally do some internal testing.

Holy shit, you can't be serious. There's enough interviews with Taleworlds where they state that they want to release an early version in 2017.

They literally state "the game will be on Steam in some form".

What devs say is not set in stone. Release dates can only be "confirmed" by the publisher. No OFFICIAL release date was EVER released therefore it cannot be delayed. Therefore, you are wrong.

They literally only had to improve on the existing game, the rest could've been done by modders.

The old engine was obviously not fit for sieges and the new combat scale, so they had to make a new one. The old engine was also a chore to mod, with those long string files. People still did it, but the tools were awful.

It's not, I'm saying that in both of those sources you represented they never officially announced a release date. They said in their many presentations prior to 2016 that the game would definitely be on steam by 2016. And they kept that promise. Not sure what else you fucking spergs want.
