That's too sad. I genuinely like dbz abridged. I like what they did with the characters, building good character development. Abridged as more interesting versions of the characters than the actual show.
The only abridged series still going on.
I guess it was just a matter of time till the team parted ways. Getting big, famous, more opportunities with bigger projects to take advantage from actual legit tv shows.

I disagree. I can still watch the series from 2008 all the way to the end of the Namek Saga and still laugh. There are some hit and miss jokes, but there are also a lot of clever jokes that still hold up. Frieza is especially masterfully done.
I would say that it's when they tried to make it a self-contained story is when it stopped being funny for me.
