Will Blizzard fuck up classic?
I'm afraid that they will pander to casuals and ruin everything which pisses me of as a Nostalrius veteran who's been advocating and signing many petitions for years.
Will Blizzard fuck up classic?
Short answer: Yes
Long answer: Yes they will.
They're gonna fuck it up by not enticing anyone outside the nostalgia crowd to actually play it where it will die.
>Nostcuck
You already know the answer or you wouldn't have made this post.
This is one of your life fears. That a shitty 20 year old game is going to be different.
>veteran
Kys fast
It will be good for 2 weeks. Then they will introduce minor changes nobody really cares about.
Then after a few of these tiny changes to get us used to the idea of updates, they will put in some big change that has majority support. Something still from vanilla WoW, just released a little time into it.
Then that opens the way for all the big shitty updates that nobody who actually played in vanilla wants but sucks flavor of the month players in.
Flying mounts within a year.
>Flying mounts within a year.
good, sorry i dont have time to move at 200% everywhere anymore because im not in highschool
people pine for the absolute worst shit in vanilla
Go play battle for azeroth then?
It's made for people that don't have time to play actual games.
>nostalrious
>veteran
Pick one.
Yes
Either by releasing a game straight out of 2006 and charging a subscription fee for it, or tweaking anything at all for the game and giving people excuses to go to free pirate servers in protest.
>play actual games.
are you implying vanilla was a well made, polished, and balanced game?
There is 100% of purchasing a new “classic wow” at 39.99 and the typical required monthly fee
Not to begin with, but eventually they'll introduce microtransactions. It's too profitable to say no.
Even from the beginning, there'll be global friends lists, which will impact the game a bit, will make it impossible to start a character where you don't have to interact with your friends for example. Ignore lists may also be global.

I'm saying it was fun, unlike current WoW. Because you actually got to play the game rather than numlock through the sky or sit afk in queues and press 3 buttons to win raids..
Just stop guys. The good times can not come back.
it was fun because of the people and point of time in your life you were playing with, not the content. you can never go back
>numlock through the sky or sit afk in queues and press 3 buttons to win raids
you honestly have no argument, vanilla was 3 button rotations, let me show you the hunter rotation from vanilla for prime dps
Auto-shot->Aimed Shot->Auto-shot->Multi-Shot->Auto-shot->Repeat
wowowowow
>hunter
okay
But they said the same stuff about OSRS and were wrong. Why do you think you're right this time?
>Why do you think you're right this time?
because its a different game, and osrs is fucking free
Its 10 bucks a month or something. F2P is like 10% of the game.

How the new classic should work:
>release classic ver 1.00
>update/patches
>year or two later, add TBC
>more patches + updates for TBC server
>a new classic server starts for people who didn’t jump into it at the start.
>update/patching for a year or so for second server along with the first server
>TBC first server updates to WOTLK while the 2nd classic server updates to TBC
>have another server created for just vanilla only no expansions (third server)
2022(vanilla final patch) - ????
>one server is with TBC (second server) 2020 (vanilla) - 2022 (TBC final patch) - ????
>one server is with WOTLK (first server) 2018(vanilla release) - 2024(WOTLK final patch) - ????
By doing it this way, new players are getting the same nostalgic experience as the same people did who tried classic out first in 2018. If the three separate servers are popular still, the first server “could” move onto WOD (IMO that expansion started to show the decline in quality) OR blizzard could take a completely different path and create new expansions separate from the current build of the game.
