Either this or absurd twinking seems to be the case in 3. Currently invaders are fair to fight at about level 40, but rare. Early on though? Common as fuck and they'd be using miracles you can apparently only get access to late-game to buff their weps, take next to no damage, never run out of stamina and kill in 1 or 2 hits.

And online works just fine with any modification you make to game files, as above. There's a multiplayer matchmaking mod that you can use to flag people as suspected hackers and if enough people do it they get flagged and if it notices you're using stat values you couldn't possibly have it just outright blacklists you and other players have to specifically let you into their world.

Do that 10 times and coop is blocked and you can still be invaded.

There was a P2P manager for DS2 on the Nexus. You can outright block all p2p traffic.
Cheaters, but more importantly hackers, can do NOTHING.

the tall white dudes you fight in the swamp/old king area. hit him with my wep, he just jumps anyways and when he lands i just die instantly even though he has no wep and literally just jumped. its happened consistently everytime ive tried to fight them fairly.
