Have you ever pre-ordered a game?

Have you ever pre-ordered a game?

All the time. But I'm not here to save the industry. Just play what I like and not come to Sup Forums just to argue opinions.

unlike those characters this game will be dead before it even leaves the ground

Does early access count?
If not, then probably MHW will be the first when it comes out on PC

It just needs 25% more base game than Destiny and a better and bigger loot system. I want to be Iron man for a few weeks with friends before I'm bored of it. I bought The Division for the same reasons. If I get 40 or 50 good hours with at least one friend out of a co-op game I'm ok with the purchase..

It looks interesting but...
>Bioware

Used to pre-order games all the time when I bought physical because if I didn't I wouldn't be able to pick one up on release in store, they'd always ask if you had a preorder and refuse to sell you unless you did. Which was retarded, but whatever.

Nowadays I almost never pre-order because it's a system designed for physical scarcity and you can't run out of digital versions of games.

Last time I pre-ordered a game was a day before Odyssey came out because I wanted it on my door on release day, and it was.

I hope the game is absolutely nothing like Destiny.

youre right, but buying on day 1 will hurt you more than anything. you'll have fun but you incentive producers to produce more shit.

i bought the division on special a few weeks ago, doesn't feel like i missed anything desu. anything good anyway (full servers, constant maintenance etc etc, game breaking bugs and glitches)

I'll pre-order 24 hours in advance if I know a game will be good from streams and pre-release content done by third parties. Very low risk and I can preload and get any bonus dlc then return it if it's actually shit.

I hear you, but you know it will be a Destiny/Division like game. That's why you can only hope for no game breaking microtransactions and interesting loot and mission structure.

Yes I have a category on my Steam for games I pre-ordered.

This is the only game in there right now though.

It's always like 10 games right after E3 and I occasionally post it here to trigger the Sup Forumsautists.

Fuck. How the hell do you respond to that?

*inhales*

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Yeah, but almost always ended up being disappointed.
>Dark Souls 2
>Rome 2 Total War
>Warhammer 2 Total War
>Deus Ex Mankind Divided

>EA
>No microtransactions
They couldn't even go two seconds without raping Star Wars and Need for Speed with loot boxes, there is zero chance for this garbage not to be built entirely around the concept.

Whats the benefit to preordering again? Some preload or something? or some random weapon that will either be overpowered or tossed away instantly? I never understand preorderfags.

>no game breaking microtransactions
Almost every game has them now and most can be ignored. That was the issue with Star Wars, it affected gameplay in a major way giving the white whales an advantage. And some minor stuff in Destiny2 caused a small fuss but ultimately stale content is what's killing that game.

Yeah, Deadfire. I'm going to get it anyway so I just wanted to get it out of the way.

No. I'm not retarded.

only games i ever pre-ordered were dead space 2, borderlands 2, dark souls 1 for pc and black ops 1. No regrets. (god i miss black ops 1 zombies)

i wish the guns would have a destiny feel to them. i really loved the way the guns played, heavy MG's and High power scout rifles had such a great kick in them. felt good

no way fag

Rome 2 :/
