Compared to fucking Geralt? Yeah, they did. Starkiller and Vader both fit with Nightmares aesthetics and Yoda fit well as a wise old master. Even Link fit better than him as a plucky kid trying to find a powerful sword to slay a grand evil. How does Geralt fit at all? Not even close. Geralt is way too slow in 3 (which is the version you can be sure they'll use) and he has like, what, 3 actual moves that he repeats over and over? It's ridiculous.

Geralt although he may be somewhat too realistic in his design for SC, his combat style fits perfectly, he is a master of the sword lorewise and has a wide array of basic magic to use.

I've played all the witchers and DLC. In 3 he has his light combo that consists of 3 moves and his heavy that consists of 2. I didn't count the heavy combo because even his quick one is slow, the heavy one would just be a burden in a fighting game.

Geralt's whole thing is trying to find his purpose. Yeah he's a monster hunter, but the need for monster hunters is gone and he's left as an outcast. Soulcalibur's all about fate, and Geralt's character arc is learning to accept fate.
