I've seen people posting this picture in various threads when the matter of piracy was brought up. Surely those people and the person who made this are baiting or expecting brainlets to agree with it directly without any critical thinking.
Piracy is wrong. >b-b-b-ut everyone else is doing it!!! The first non-argument depicted in this picture. You are a fucking degenerate subhumanwaste. What happens if you don't give money, the first incentive for creators to do their work? They receive less payment. So if you buy you're giving them the 70$/€ they deserve. You're showing interest and appreciation toward their content.
>b-b-b-ut in other boards people don't complain about it, f-f-f-uck off already! Are you retarded? Piracy doesn't work the same way with all forms of media. With music and film there are always people who watch them on TV or on YouTube, bombarding their brain with advertisement. With videogames, there is NO revenue created.
May I remind you how much piracy hurt the Ace Attorney series in the west? We had to rely on a god-tier fantranslation who was generous enough to provide us with such quality for FREE. Pirating AAA games is stupid (understandable, but stupid nonetheless. If you don't buy you don't have the right to criticize and make sure the devs create better games) but doing it with niche games is even worse. You deserve to be gassed.
Videogames are not a necessary part of your life. If you're too poor, try other forms of entertainment. Stop acting entitled to things that aren't free for godsake. This is the same board who dares complaining about communists or leftist retards. Try to be coherent with what you say before making an embarrassment of yourself. I hope my point is clear enough.
>dares complaining about communists or leftist retards
not much of a dare, the people you describe are pussies. I do agree with you though, as a musician, the struggle is real
David Young
The only people who complains about piracy are shills and kids who paid the full price for something and regretted it
Anything else is just falseflaggers looking for (You)s
I'm doublespacing on purpose to trigger people

>If you're too poor, try other forms of entertainment Fuck off and die frankly, without pirating vidya and movies I'd have already killed myself

Piracy pisses off developers and makes them flock to consoles to produce multi-platform. It doesn't help that PC players won't pay for a game unless it's like 5$ on a Steam sale.
It's literally what killed PC singleplayer exclusives being anything but either A. crowdfunded trash, or B. lootbox kikeshit addiction simulators MOBAs, TF2, etc. Both the Crytek director and Taleworlds cited piracy as the reason they began developing on consoles. M&B and Crysis sucked nuts, sure, but it least they were developed to take advantage of PC's hardware
I don't condemn pirates, but they're chiefly responsible in wrecking PC singleplayer gamin' catered to the platform.
Don't worry OP, the "product as a service" model is going to become the next big thing and videogames are on the same chopping block.

Don't forget asset flipper indie shitters mad that their zombie survival fps or rogue-shit hasn't made them enough money to retire at 30.
Jack Phillips
Spot on about Ace Attorney, in fact you can say that about a lot of DS games. Flashcarts and emulation murdered or severely crippled a lot of DS developers/franchises. Just compare and contrast the DS library and the 3DS library.
The big first parties will still survive even with rampant piracy, it's the smaller games that suffer the most, because the people savvy enough to know about the niche titles are also savvy enough to know how to pirate them.
Jonathan Gray
Ace Attorney and Hotel dusk (on top of bizarre localization shenanigans) are the prime example of why piracy is bad. But for games like FIFA or Call of Duty I'm more than glad that people pirate them
tl;dr But that pic is bullshit and just proves how much better games are than that other pame shit.
Samuel Ramirez
lmao do you get a percentage of all video game sales? Why are you defending people who just want to take your money from you? If it was legal the publishers would instead be robbery corporations and just fucking beat your ass and steal it because it'd be less overhead. They exist to make money however possible. Defending them for free makes you a cuck.
Sebastian Williams
>Why are you defending people who just want to take your money from you? Are you legit retarded? If you don't show interest in their product I don't see how they'd just want to take money from you. Stop talking as if they're thieves or evil pricks when it's clearly you who shows addiction for a non-vital product and then complains because it's too pricey. Why do you have to act so entitled, I wonder ?
Joseph Butler
>game is available, and I want it, but I don't want to purchase it >wait until it goes down in price
>game is available, but I don't want it >don't purchase it or pirate it, since a pirated copy means I wanted to play it
>game is unavailable in any way, shape or form, even through third party retailers >emulate it
That's how I justify it. Now go ahead and tell me what's wrong with that.
Noah Bell
>piracy is wrong Why?
Tyler Taylor
If I can easily get something for free why would I pay for it
