Why do people like this game over it's successors?
Why do people like this game over it's successors?
Because it wasn’t released in NA so it’s niche, and/or they like the character designs.
>Why do people like these strategic antithesis visual novels over a massive history of fantasticly designed and written SRPGs
Might have been a better question.
Because it has some modicum of challenge? Because the writing isn't pants-on-head retarded? Because 1/3rd of the game isn't a tutorial? Because the game doesn't have promoted enemies with stats lower than unpromoted enemies? Because the game doesn't have unlimited grinding? Because they just like it more? Because they don't like the others as much?
Take your fucking pick.
>over a massive history of fantasticly designed and written SRPGs
Name one
>No casualized gameplay
>Support system that allows characters to develop
>No otaku pandering
>No plot-relevant avatar
>Characters are more than anime stereotypes.
And those are just the tip of the iceberg
The support system is poorly implemented in the GBA games though, so I don't see how that's much of a boost over the other games in the series.
Because they like playing with awful characters who can't hit anything.
>waiting 200 turns to build supports
I like mostly how it's set up otherwise, but grinding for supports, especially in FE6, is fucking awful.
>Because it has some modicum of challenge?
Shitty hitrates and every map being seize isn't challenge.
>>No casualized gameplay
this is a bold faced lie
They don't
FE6 is shit, FE7 is the good one.
Too much Roy lobotomises you.
Yes it is. Sorry Roy isn't a one-man-army and every map isn't defend or rout.
I really liked the way path of radiance did supports where you only have to deploy the same two characters in the same battle a number of times
This works well because it allows the supporting characters to reference events in the game's plotline that have occurred after they've been recruited
>>Thinking that Fire Emblem was the first SRPG ever made.
>>Calling it a strategy RPG despite the complete lack of a strategy layer.
This is what weebs actually believe.
>blazing blade
>blade isn't on fire
>binding blade
>blade isn't made of rope
The fuck, man?
Only retards think the "S" stands for strategy. SRPG is a misappropriated nip term anyway (Simulation RPG). They're TRPGs (Tactical RPG) over here.
Yes, I agree about PoR's supports. Too bad they gutted it in RD since it was rushed, I hope the Base menu comes back over My Castle and such.
oh yes, babysitting the lord and having him do nothing for 2/3 of the game is good design.
Simulation RPG? Simulation of what exactly?
Yeah I agree, Eliwood and Lyn fucking suck.
Of combat I guess? Don't ask me, that's just what nips call it.
Fire Emblem map design and A.I. is pretty stupid though. Most enemies (and especially the boss) sit still allowing you to patiently pick them off one by one,
It's really not. FE6 isn't hard or anything; slowly chipping away at bosses for ages isn't a test or measure of skill, it's just repetitive and tedious.
FE6 thrones are fucking stupid. That's enough to make me hate seizing every map.
Why do Jugdralfags bitch about seizing when their game is nothing but seizing on fuckhuge maps?
Because they aren't Jugdralfags. They're Thraciafags.
>No casualized gameplay
Nigga this comes off the back of fucking Tharcia 776. I don't think I've ever stopped reading a post so quickly in my entire life, 6fags are delusional
>good game design is casualization
L O L
Go back to your game where healing staves can miss.
Stop being mean to eliwood! He's good, just not a monster like hector.
Lyn is trash though, I agree with that. Nothing's better than doing a whopping 3 damage on a crit.
Yeah, Eliwood is okay. I'm sorry, I lost my cool.
There's a difference between being not broken and being a liability, mate.
Because the difficulty sexually pleases my masochistic vidya habits in a good way.
Every time I play this game I have this sick fetish of actually using Wendy despite her disgustingly awful growths. Also, 7 is good but give me one reason why Lyn ISN'T the worst Lord when she does fuck all.
>and/or they like the character designs.
This, I wouldn't say I like it over the other games but it has a place in my heart due to having my favorite designs in the series.
>FE6, the game where you have to rely on rutger to crit the first half of the game's bosses
>good game design
All fire emblems sucks. Reading tons of text for tons of charactors is stupid and if you like it you have autism
