How the hell did some pretentious shit like Celeste get all the attention, when this got nothing? This game is literally better in every single way possible.

How the hell did some pretentious shit like Celeste get all the attention, when this got nothing...

there's your answer
>anxiety and depression main topics
>hard
>easily can be compared to dark souls
>female lead
need i say more?
Why? It looks pretty ugly
He's not in the indie game in-crowd.
I bought both. Celeste has better controls, but they're both good games.
Celeste's been shilled because it goes with the trend of allowing players to reduce gameplay component of an already trivial game to 0 while at the same telling the player that he's awesome. Also, story about a weak character who can't possibly climb a mountain and is told that she can't climb a mountain because she's weak, but manages to do so because she's a woman and a woman in a game needs to be powerful
I haven’t played the game, but you still reek of someone who’s full of shit.
You reek of insecurity
Celeste literally has a cheat menu that reassures you and tells you that it's okay to use it.
slime-san is also on the switch. oddly enough it's the only 2d platformer that isn't hindered by the shitty joycon "d-pad".

Not sure how insecurity is relevant at all to my post, nice projection tho
>projects while accusing other person of projection
You seem upset
Except graphics, and that's all people care about.
Celeste has an obvious wave of nepotism flowing.
The gameplay looks exactly like the end is nigh.
Easy: Marketing and Slime-san not being an exclusive.
Celeste was featured in the Mini Direct, Slime-san is just a port.
And since the PC version had meh marketing, it kinda stayed in its existing fanbase instead of expanding that.
The devs actively advertising their game and using consumer-friendly marketing strategies (like free dlcs, low price, being friendly to fans in general on social media) slowly pushes Slime-san into popularity, but that's it. No hype, but rather "Ah, I heard of that game"
slime-san doesn't have interconnected levels. if anything celeste is more like the end is nigh.
addition: if slime-san had been an exclusive, there is a high chance big ol' Ninty would've pushed it a bit more, because >look at this Nindie
I feel like this genre of fast lethal platforming is a bit overdone.
Anime grils >>>>>>>>> generic grils >> blobs.
Character design is king.
