WHAT were they THINKING?!
WHAT were they THINKING?!
they weren't
If they didn't give it any thought then they would have just left it the same as Japan
does it matter retard (no it doesnt)
I'm pretty sure it was Naughty Dog's fault
X being confirmed is better because it's easier to press.
Treasure and Roundabout are weeb trash inputs.
Treasure and Pyramid is the best setup.
this is why the xbox controllers are better
Treasure and Treasure Map would be ideal for me
>it's easier to press
americans, everyone
Moving from the right analogue stick to the x button is far easier and more comfortable then hitting the o button.
you would confirm anything, huh?
"No."
still better than playstation LOL
...
>making things harder for yourself
retard spotted
>redpill - racist
>blue pill - not racist
My fucking sides
Stop
>WHAT were they THINKING?!
fuck if i know
Is this loss?
Have fun walking at two speeds
that's all you need
Sony's sense in having circle confirm and eks cancel is solid but their placement on the controller is moronic. The majority of sony games back in the PS1 days being JRPGS, it makes more sense to have the bottom most button be the confirm button, they just didn't have the foresight to change the placement.
I don't remember cancel ever being triangle.
Absolutely true, I can confirm this has 100% accuracy and in no way I am implying that this is written by a clueless newfag.
>The majority of sony games back in the PS1 days being JRPGS, it makes more sense to have the bottom most button be the confirm button
Explain how, especially in a genre where you don't even need to press buttons fast.
Naughty Dog, Insonmiac, and Sucker Punch.
>Wanting to emulate the country that lost
>he doesn't bind movement to scroll wheel
Why is this place nothing but people reposting same thread every week?
BOOM! How 'bout that, eh?
>No Toddposting
7/10 needs to lurk more
They solved that problem 12 years ago
The Xbone controller is currently the best controller on the market
>mfw - 'My feeling when.'
>ITT - Internal tech theory.
>making shit unintuitive and never changing it because they are so blinded by cultural pressure
japanese, everyone
>Its happening - something is occurring
Circle for OK and X for no seems pretty intuitive to me.
how come nobody uses >mfw anymore? I miss it.
>X means yes in english
It's funny because it actually doesn't. Did you think all those X's you'd get back on your tests at school meant you did well? Are you the Wimp Lo of exams?
Japan has an obsession with changing things when they release products in the west.
This shit always bugged me too. Especially for stuff like jrpgs because even on the Nes and Snes A was usually confirm and B was usually cancel. Even FF7 still used the old format I want to say FF8 was the first one to be pants on head retarded where triangle was cancel or something equally stupid. At least the controls were customizable.
>It's happening - Something is occurring
>It's over - Something has occurred
>The absolute madman - An unremarkable sane person
What games have triangle as cancel? I'm legitimately asking.
blue = positive
red = negative
>country with a red circle in its flag makes the red circle button preform positive actions
And they say games aren't political
>this thread
Unironically like x to confirm better, not sure if I just got used to rest my thumb on in from ps1
>tfw you only play console games through emulators and never have to deal with this shit
Lots of ps1 games. Its like they couldn't agree on a standard back then so every game did something different. Seems like they settled on a standard by ps2 era.
While we're on the subject:
>Snes
>Y X
>B A
>XBox
>X Y
>A B
Fuck this. Even though I have been using an xbox controller on pc for years I still hit the wrong buttons sometimes because it is hard to unlearn 27 years of muscle memory.
everything bad about the game industry right now is their fault
Triangle cancel is the fucking worst. Who thought that was a good idea?
>yfw - "your feeling when"
