PS3 actually got fixed on its own by the end of the generation, only real changes it needed from day 1 were more RAM (should have gone with 512MB of XDR) and the GPU should have not had the extra ROPs laser cut, plus the memory bus should have been larger for the VRAM. Had they made those changes and not included all of the superfluous bullshit like the 4 USB ports, multi-format card reader, etc maybe it could have launched at $499 but with actual hardware advantages over the 360 that would make people feel like it was worth buying.

Xbox One would be doing much better if it launched at $399 with no Kinect and had supported backwards compatibility from day 1. A lot of people like to brag about BC on this site today but it wasn't implemented until multiple years into the console's life, after millions of people had already decided on which platform to buy.

LittleBigPlanet was a PS3 exclusive and never left the platform. There are different variations of the game not made by Media Molecule on the PSP, Vita, and PS4 but they're not even remotely the same game. It's a Sony owned franchise and is only on Playstation.

The saturn baby! I'd have launched the system in September instead of May. Same price and I'd put a big emphasis on working with and keeping good relations with 3rd party devs. I'd also try to use Panzer Dragoon Saga as a Final Fantasy killer.

The hardware wasn't such a big problem as the saturn did pretty well in japan. However Sega did know how to program for it better than the third party devs so I'd say Sega needed to have better communication with them.
