there's two protagonists with different sets of powers, you can specialize in different powers within those sets and tweak your style further by crafting bonechams for passive modifiers, or you can choose not to use any active or passive abilities at all with an in-game choice. you can go full ghost, lethal or non-lethal stealth or go full action ninja. levels have multiple approaches, optional objectives, objectives can change around and there's unique mechanics in some levels aside from all the security systems to turn around on the guards and all your lethal and non-lethal tools. killing or helping npcs can have close or open other opportunities.

what I'm saying is that your first playthrough is just a trial run, do whatever you find fitting. the marketing was skewed towards emily because it makes more sense for the story as a whole, but corvo is based so idk

I never used it in the first game because I always assumed it was some 5 second shit and I wouldn't do much in the time.
