People like to meme scout rush but I don't think I've played many mission in VC1 where it seemed all that viable for the main camp.

if you use Defense up and Caution orders on Alicia she is nearly unstoppable. Were talking shocktroopers doing 1 damage in interception fire. you can still get fucked up on enemy turns, but its pretty OP.

I'm not stirring up console war shit but I just do wanna know, will there be a steam version? Has there been any news on that? It seems like VC1 was super successful on steam to the point where it probably predicated 4 being made, so it feels weird to see the PC get passed over at launch.

What does awaken potential do? I never used it because resist crossfire procs so easily. does it make double action happen more often?

it guarantees that every perk will proc and it persists when you select a unit multiple times in a single turn. you'll get double action every time, meaning you'll be able to use the full movement bar regardless of how many times you use Alicia, and if she ever gets down to 0HP she'll auto revive with Valkyria, which also resets every time you select her.

it's so completely broken that there is literally no reason to deploy anyone other than the people who give extra command points when you have a capture objective.

From the HQ camp, iirc it was the second to last menu option, the one that sends inside your own camp tent. In there you can check the Personnel, Weapons, and Glossary tabs just like in the first game.

2 was trash, but 3 was genuinely the best one in terms of gameplay, it's only fault, besides being trapped in a dead portable console was going way too JRPG weeb cringe with the characters and designs.

Still 4 is looking quite great, same grounded feel and beautiful aesthetics as 1, while taking in some of the best gameplay improvements the sequels added later, such as halving the CP cost of using your tank, snipers being able to fire back after an enemy attack, an order to move up to four units at the same time, etc...
