The mechanics are heavily dependant in the setting and the strength of the werewolf(s)
Weapons made of silver like swords would be the only way to deter the beast besides trying to shelter yourself.
Another way to fight it would probably be with assorted traps and snares.

I only like werewolves and minotaurs. Anything else disgusts me.

Things like guns with regular would bullets probably tickle a big ass werewolf, which means traps and subversion like putting raw meat and animal blood on areas you want it to be in. And trapping it in a cage or pit lined with holy stuff.
A smaller wolf man would most likely be quicker and able to fit into smaller places but would easily be stopped by a few silver bullets to the vital organs or even managing to damage it enough with normal weapons and mortally wound it.

I wouldn't call myself a furry.
