Mario Odyssey is good, but, by the end, especially with how monotonous the moons become, it really starts to overstay its welcome.

They're both pretty fun, but suffer HARD from late-game repetitiveness (Zelda's same-y dungeons and Mario's moons).

I've been playing nothing but Pinball FX3 lately, though. The HD rumble thing feels really good and it kinda makes me wish there were more physical pinball machines in my area.

BotW is good but it takes significant spans of time. Odyssey is just too damn simple - the only thing that will get you going is that controlling Mario is fun as fuck. Levels are meh. Well, Bowser's Castle was okay with all that wall climbing

I agree with you on Mario, but I don't think Zelda is afflicted to the same extent. Late game achievements still afford some decent quality-of-life improvements to the gameplay. Being a completionist in SMO is only aesthetically rewarding.

Though, I appreciate that both allow you to take your time and enjoy the game however you wish.

all the ports are basically worthless unless portability is the most important thing in a game for you. they ALL run like ass except for skyrim (which is $60 on switch when its $20 everywhere else with better graphics and mods)
splatoon 2 and arms are okay games ruined by abysmal server quality and lack of content. they're memed only because they're exclusives that came out during a dry period

zelda is fantastic. I haven't enjoyed a zelda game since link to the past and I haven't been interested in playing anything else since I started botw a few weeks ago when I bought my switch

My brother bought Arms and we played a few matches but we haven't touched that fucking shit again, it sucks and the worst part is that Nintendo and their soyboys were promoting that game as a complex competitive esport/evo experience, bullshit the game is broken, it doesn't detect the right movements, boring as fuck 60 us dollars for a game that lacks a lot of game modes.
